OYSTER FARMER SPOTLIGHT: 🦪 Serenoa Shellfish Company‘s John Harley, Emily Smith with daughters Ruth and Wren are heading to Jacksonville this weekend from Sopchoppy, Florida. They raise oysters and clams in the pristine waters of Skipper and Oyster Bays in Wakulla County, Florida. Their oysters are on menus around the southeast branded as "Skipper Sweets" and if you’ve had them, you know how tasted they are!

ZUKI IS FINISHED! 🦈🌊😮 After two month of creation, Local artist Robert Kovac’s life size 10 FT Great White Shark sculpture is now complete! The shark, named "Zuki" will be unveiled to the public at the Jacksonville Seafood Festival on July 25th in historic Riverside.

“Zuki” was named after his late cat who had no mercy when she was on the hunt and in Japanese means punch or strike! The sculpture is a collage of individual assembled Cyprus wood shavings.

Over the years, Robert has created many forms of art- surfing- guitar- painting, but discovered and found a niche in wood sculptures. He’s a life long surfer who grew up at the beach and his love of the ocean has inspired his art from seascapes to many animal forms. He tries to create forms that look like they are in motion. Make sure to visit the Festival and see this remarkable and compelling piece of art ❤️

OYSTER FARMER SPOTLIGHT: 🦪 Halcyon SeaFarm located in the spring-fed waters of Skipper Bay, FL, will be one of the oyster farmers visiting the Jacksonville Seafood Festival this Sunday! Halcyon SeaFarm is a small family farm run by Ben Wiggins and Raina West. Using off-bottom farming, they hand-raise sustainable oysters that are juicy, salty & delicious!

ART INSTALLATION 🦈🌊😮 Local artist Robert Kovac, a life long surfer who grew up at the beach, has been working on this life size 10 FT Great White Shark sculpture over the last two months.
