Meet Chico (again)! We say again because we haven't talked about him since his rescue in August 2023. Why? This sweet old boy was diagnosed with Heartworm Infection and has been going through the long American Heartworm Society's Treatment Protocols. Heartworm infection treatment is difficult for any dog having to endure them and especially tough for the older ones. He came through it, though, like a champion! He is now Heartworm free and needing a family and home to call his own - forever!

Chico was an unclaimed stray from Maricopa County Animal Care & Control in Phoenix. He is estimated to be about 8 years old and seems to want to be a one and only! Anyone who is loved by a senior dog knows the great joy they can bring back to you tenfold.
