Thursday Night. (Tonight) I was referred by a previous client couple weeks ago. Tonight was different. These fine folks had a gathering to celebrate Winter Solstice. Every day after the winter solstice will grow longer in the northern hemisphere until its summer solstice, or the longest day of the year, between June 20 and 22. People actually celebrate this moment. Most eat food prepared with the letter "n" in it. I didn't do that today. But I learned something interesting. Got paid but left with some knowledge. Thank you to Neil and his family and friends for having me help make your evening memorable.

Tuesday Night. Short story. Met a Chef who visited my job for a night with her boss. Super cool and very professional person. Wanted to see my kitchen so I gave her a short tour. She connected with me a month or so later and asked me if she can hire me to cook dinner for her Country Club holiday party. I've cooked for other Chef's but this is a first that I ever been hired by one. Humbling. She said noone had ever cooked in her kitchen but her. As a Chef, I know what she means. I extend big appreciation to Chef Kaytee and the whole staff at Medford Lakes for having me.

So, LinkedIn put my news out there couple weeks ago and I didnt know. I might as well share it. My last job wasn't the fit for me and later found out they had hidden agendas and left me to walk away by FORCE. First time I was nervous and not knowing what to do. A year later, someone called and invested in my passion. In short, this is how they wanted to show me ."Our company is now your new home. Take us to the next level." Within 2 weeks, I've been in 2 digital newspapers. Went from overseeing 1 restaurant to 3 concepts now. Can't tell me that man don't make good comebacks. I came a long way!! Go read!

Had a privilege of catering a brunch at this morning for students, staff and parents. All the staff was extremely nice and I appreciate you all for having me. Thank you to for hiring me for the occasion. Thank you to Kenyah Millee, Founder of the school and Director of Operations Beverly Dobere for being so generous and hospitable for my visit. Also thank you to the Mayor of Mt Vernon, Shawyn Patterson-Howard for being in attendance. One time for the youth!!

Working on the weekends like usual....Word of mouth is a great thing. Celebration of Life for Frank's father who is enjoying his 71st birthday. I always enjoy my clients but this was is one of the best so far. I was told by Frank's mother that as Hispanic woman who makes great Spanish rice, that mines competes with hers.😎 Frank's father said other than him and his Nana, she made the best peach cobbler before she passed and mines is running close to it. I greatly appreciate the accolades and thank you for the business.

Meet Nancy. I placed my catering business in a auction that sponsored women who are victims of domestic violence for . Nancy here won the bid for me to cater an event for her. She is an extremely wonder person and has a heart even bigger. So of course The Chef made a "home" in her home and catered an event for 18 of her friends and family. I would like to thank Nancy for welcoming me. Glad you enjoyed the food.

Last minute booking. Like, last minute! I never really do that but, I did. Surprise birthday dinner with daughter and mom courtesy of the young lady who wanted to do something special for her mother who turned 50 yrs old. Blessings to you both. Something unique happened after dinner and her mother said I should hear her daughter sing and play piano. I was a little blown away. Some black girl magic for the road. Thank you again for letting me cater your dinner.

When you can't go to Jamaica so you bring some of Jamaica to you. Been wanting to use this Crown Royal Peach. Came up with the glaze as I was cooking and looking in cabinets. Crown Royal Jerk Salmon, Steamed Cabbage and Caribbean Rice.
