The theater was renamed Lani Hall, in honor of Herb Alpert’s wife, Lani Hall.

UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music renovated this 133-seat theater in the Schoenberg Music Building in December 2019 thanks to a $3 million gift from the Herb Alpert Foundation.
