Haggis anyone?! 🏴 Haggis is traditionally served as part of the Burns supper, celebrating the birthday of Scotland’s national poet Robert Burns. Burns wrote the famous poem “Address to a Haggis”. Thank you to the amazing @johnscotbarrowman for presenting the poem this year!

An accomplished piper who began playing at the young age of six, Lorne quickly became one of the world’s most renowned players, earning some high profile gigs along the way. Fun fact - Lourne was hand-picked by Madonna to join her on tour after she heard him play at Stella McCartney’s wedding in Rothesay, Scotland! 🎶

Thank you to our fabulous band @theploughboys who kept our guests dancing all night long at our Burns Bash celebration! 🏴🎸 The Ploughboys have regaled the Los Angeles Celtic community with modern and traditional music from the British Isles, with dashes of bluegrass, country, and American folk thrown in. This unique and upbeat band had our guests out of their seats dancing the night away. We absolutely loved having them back to perform at our Burns Bash this year. They have been with us since our first Burns Bash! Thank you! 🎶🎵

The passing of the incredible Chita Rivera today was a very sad day .She was a Broadway icon and an inspiration to so many of us who wanted to follow in her footsteps. Back when I was 21 years old , somehow the theatre gods smiled on me and the amazing Broadway conductor @musicbeater1 Larry Blank gave me the opportunity to perform this incredible trio from Gypsy with the one and only Chita Rivera and Rita Moreno at The London Palladium. That experience has been in my heart since then, as I knew how lucky I was and I also got to dance with my wonderful friend @jamesnycgray who sent me this tonight ! Thank you Larry ❤️ and thank you to the incomparable Ms Chita Rivera who inspired us all . ❤️ I will never forget the first day in rehearsals and I’m in the rehearsal room and in walks Chita and Rita. Chita says to Rita .. did you sleep good? And Rita says I slept so good. I woke up with a pleat in my face then Chita turns to me and goes who’s the blonde! I was so very happy to be the blonde ❤️❤️
About last night… ❤️🏴 We had the most amazing time at our annual Burns Bash last night. We absolutley love transforming the @fairmontmiramar into a magnificent Scottish castle filled with glowing candelabra, touches of tartan, delicate roses and the most incredible Scottish food and traditions. We are so fortunate to be a part of this incredible event year after year in support of @bafta. Thank you to all of the attendees as well as our incredible team of vendors who made this impactful event possible! 🌹
