I worked with Jiajun & Bo on 2 separate wedding portrait sessions. It was so smooth and fun that when we drove between locations each time we ended up serendipitously one behind the other 😮

Though all our locations were beautiful it was so cool to see Minnehaha Falls with flowing water amidst giant icicles. We covered a lot of ground in our time and I really enjoyed challenging myself to make creative images at iconic Twin Cities locations.

💚 SUMMER LOVIN 💚

Emily & Jason traveled to STP from Colorado for a stunning home town (Emily’s) outdoor wedding with perfect weather. From a gorgeous Irvine Park ceremony to a grandiose Summit Hill Mansion to a mood lit Gabe’s reception hall, the day was the best.

It always goes fast but you two were really living in the moments. I can see by your smiles in these photos that y’all really do have a ton of fun together along with abundant love.

When you’re making portraits in the bridal suite and across the street from an iconic Minnesota music mural aka “The Prince wall” and you’re en route driving the bride to the ceremony location stuffed in your bright orange compact Prius you better be certain you hop out and take a pic.

I believe it was pretty cold this day also.

🌳 ELOPEMENT EXTRAVAGANZA 🌳

Tori & Matt are an adventurous couple of pilots from Memphis. They love driving in their RV around the Great Lakes.

They decided that on their most recent they were going to elope. With the help of Marry Me In The Northland they had a gorgeous wedding at the Baptism River at Tettegouche State Park

Post ceremony I showed them the hot spots of the surrounding area. 6 hours sure flew by.

The icing on the cake was helping them set up their first dance outside their trailer to Alison Krause “Lay Down Beside Me”

After so much of life’s challenges along the way of wedding planning Junalyn & Joel got to celebrate with their loved ones during a beautiful winter night.

Northern Stacks Events hosted the whole celebration and it was my first time there and I gotta say I really enjoyed the atmosphere from the exposed brick to the warm mood lighting.

The couple were tons of fun and so game for all the ideas I came up with. June handled the whole day with such grace even while rocking a fractured for all day.

Their regal black and white wedding was one of the best. So stoked to share these photos.

💜 Mini Wedding 💜

Carrie reached out recently about her little wedding at sunset on Park Point beach. She stated a love of finding driftwood in past visits to that area and found a great spot.

One of my first questions was, “are you going to get in the water??” Thankfully she said that they wanted to but not very far.

I do enjoy encouraging clients to push their boundaries, even just a smidge. It makes for such a fun memory and can really loosen you up in for the photos. Photos of couples excited, all dressed up and outside their comfort zones are fabulous.

We said goodbye after sunset and I went for a swim myself to the bride’s surprise. It was life affirming.
