Shifa Clinic: Ways to Help Throughout May.
During the month of May, the Mount Pleasant Library will accept donations of needed items for the Shifa Free Clinic. Shifa means healing. One of several free clinics in the Tri-County area. High on their list are hygiene products: toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, towels, and canned goods: tuna, chickpeas.
Shifa Free Clinic provides medical care for those that cannot afford health insurance, a healthy food pantry and many outreach community events. For more information on how to donate and volunteer, please visit

A big thank you to Santi's, Mex 1, The Dolly Llama Burtons, and all the other restaurants that provided the amazing selection of food at our Shifa Free Clinic Flavors of Healing Fundraiser. For anyone who does not know, Shifa means healing!!! So many wonderful places like Guinot Skincare, Salon Latitude, Woodhouse Day Spa, Platform CHS, Mary Alice Monroe, Graze, Savi, Rue de Jean and so so many who made our silent a great success.
I am honored to have been a part of the Shifa Free Clinic Teams that came together with an amazing board to create an inspiring, fun event. Stay tuned for much more to come!!
