Ok here it goes…Back in late 2006 early 2007 I used to cruise myspace listening to bands like 8-10 hours a day. My wife had just turned me on to myspace and I was addicted to listening to local bands and national ones. I even bought a bass and was planning on seeking out a band I could try out for. During this time my oldest daughters would sit next to me listening to bands and humming along to their favorites.
They would sit there and every now and they would say daddy I’m thirsty. ( That’s where the I’m Thirsty Entertainment name comes from ). I mention this story because back in 2006 I was a fan who loved music. I loved it so much I wanted to see them live but there was no venues around that would allow them to play.
I decided one day on a whim to rent out a legion hall and booked my favorite locals like And Then There Were None, The Jonah Veil, Always & Forever , Only Blood Will Tell and a few others…

It was an awesome experience and an even better feeling seeing all the fans enjoying themselves. I fell in love with this idea. So my second show I booked Emmure when they were starting to get big and the show was a success so much that it helped me pursue a career in promotion full time. I started doing shows at the legion every weekend and by that summer of 2007 I started doing shows with NHB and then things really went crazy. I had my first show with Vanna in a basement church that I will never forget, I also booked bands like Su***de Silence, Despised Icon, Four Year Strong , A Day To Remember when they were not as big as they are today.

I am writing all of this because when I started I was a fan. As the years went by I found myself getting stressed and hating moments that I should of cherished. It went from fan to business and believe me when I say this industry is cut throat. This is not an industry for the weak. I respect anyone that does this and puts on local/national shows. There are only a few people in the world that can share the experience of making a lot of money and then losing it the next show. It is a roller coaster ride I rode many times.

This being said I have decided to end my career as a promoter and become a fan again. I am no longer cut out for this nor do I want to put my family through the emotional roller coaster they have ridden the last 5 years and 8 months. Today is the end of I’m Thirsty.

I appreciate each and every one of you that attended a show, played a show, came up to me and told me how awesome the event was. Encouraged me to keep going. I have made some awesome friends along the way and will have many stories to tell my grandkids. I have lived the dream the last 5 years.
