Join Our Team: Stage Manager/Studio Assistant Opportunity

I’m excited to share that I’ve created a unique Film Stage, leveraging my Sculpture Degree from SAIC, and I’m on the lookout for talented artists to join our team.

At The 1896 Stages, we’re frequently hiring for Stage Manager/Studio Assistant roles, and this is a fantastic freelance opportunity for artists—preferably with a background in sculpture—who have an eye for detail, high standards, and a knack for getting things done.

As a Studio Assistant/Stage Manager, you will be the essential liaison between our producers and the diverse productions that shoot at The 1896 Stages. Whether it’s music videos, films, TV shows, commercials, or photo shoots, your role will span from opening to closing, offering you a front-row seat to the creative process at its finest.

What We’re Looking For:

Location: Must be based nearby, as the job requires early mornings and late nights. Punctuality is crucial.

Skills: If you’re a SAIC graduate with a background in sculpture or related fields (fiber arts, fashion, woodworking, construction, rigging, scenic painting), we’d love to hear from you. Experience with building tools and machinery, process thinking, and excellent organizational skills are highly valued. Experience or interest in this field a must.

Attributes: You should be adept at communication, possess a strong sense of organization, and be ready to jump in and tackle various tasks with enthusiasm. We’re looking for someone who’s personable, enjoys a good laugh, and carries a mature, professional demeanor.

If you’re passionate about the photo and motion arts industry and want to immerse yourself in an exciting, fast-paced environment, we’d be thrilled to receive your application.

Email : [email protected]
with CV/Resume, Cover letter telling us about your diverse skillsets in detail.
