Angela Golinvaux, founder and head florist of Vespertine Floral, grew up playing and working in the sprawling gardens of her family home where woodland and prairie species offered her solace and delight. Each Spring and Summer of her youth, she waited eagerly for the lily of the valley and the peonies to bloom so she could gather up bunches for her bedside, thereby sweetening the space and inspiri

ng her dreams--a magical foreshadow. Naturally, Angela chose a plant nursery as her first job. Here, she fell in love with the cultivation of plants for their decorative value, for food and medicine; during the same period, she was becoming obsessed with painting--her first inkling about the potential of nature and creativity to merge for a truly marvelous effect. While earning her Bachelor of Science and Art from The Evergreen State College, Angela focused on Natural History, especially Botany. She traversed the country to study the flora and fauna of countless ecotypes and to work with such prestigious institutions as the New York Botanical Garden. After many years of bringing flowers into her own home and arranging them as a matter of course for a life well lived, she had the serendipitous realization that through this medium, she could put her extensive background and diverse skill set to good use, creating beauty, comfort and a connection to nature for all who seek it. Vespertine Floral was born in the Spring of 2013. Angela’s meticulous eye and intuitive hand foster sculptural arrangements with a sensitivity to detail, emphasis on harmonious color palettes and mimicry of nature. She is most excited by arrangements and installations that stimulate the same sense of wonder and majesty that being immersed in a natural setting proffers. Favoring the wild, often overlooked beauty of the immediate environs, Vespertine Floral often uses foraged flowers, fruits, branches and foliage as well as surprising non-floral additions to her arrangements. We are committed to sound ecological practices and wildcraft our materials responsibly; we also tend to call upon local growers to provide the best in cultivated blooms whenever possible. From rustic wildness to ethereal wistfulness, Vespertine Floral will lovingly create custom arrangements and floral decorations to complement any space or occasion.
