Sustainability Spotlight: Bradstreet Farm

Barn at Bradstreet Farm, located in Rowley, Mass. is the second oldest continually operated farm in the U.S. The seven-acre property features a fully restored 18th century barn with heat and AC; sprawling grounds with room for event tents; ample parking; and a spacious patio overlooking conservation land, farm animals and seasonal crops. It’s the perfect place for an authentic barn wedding!

At their farm-to-table events, most ingredients for your meal, and your flowers, are sourced right here on the farm. They complement our own stock with items from other local farms.

Things to note about The Barn at Bradstreet:

• They love composting- they make their own compost for their gardens and fields (which is also very easy to do at home).

• They collect rain water from gutters for irrigation and for their farm animals (also easy to do at home with a rain barrel)!

• They performed an extensive restoration of the farmhouse and Barn, and sourced materials locally whenever they could - the wood was milled right in town at Herrick Farm, and they even sourced oyster shells for their pathways from Savage's Seafood in Rowley.
