PORTABLE TOILET SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Simmons Little Johnnies is a locally owned and operated portable toilet rental company.
We are looking for reliable, full-time drivers to provide portable toilet services safely and efficiently while maintaining our company's reputation for top-quality restrooms and customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Portable Toilet Service Technician, you will be required to clean, pick up, deliver and perform general maintenance on portable toilets to various locations, handle sewage disposal and pump duties, collect waste, clean the toilet and its housing, load toilet paper and chemical into the toilets, perform maintenance on the tank as necessary and operate the vacuum to clean the toilet. You will also complete all necessary daily paperwork, advise management when repairs are necessary, and complete all necessary vehicle preventative maintenance, keeping the truck clean and daily stocking of supplies for the truck that you drive. Clean units at the shop prior to delivery and help keep the shop area clean. You will need to have attention to detail, focus on safety and efficiency, and a commitment to provide excellent customer service. You will need to be able to handle problems that arise on the route in an efficient and professional manner. You will need to arrive on time each workday and maintain a consistent attendance record.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* have a current driver's license with a clean driving record with a Class C (or higher) license (can be obtained upon hire)
* be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, and comply with random driver drug testing as well as the IDOT medical card physical exam
* have your own transportation to and from work
* be able to lift approximately 100lbs repetitively throughout the shift, climb in and out of the truck multiple times per day, stand/sit for extended periods of time, and work, drive and operate equipment in varied weather conditions.
* Driving Skills: the ability to navigate vehicles in tight roads and driveways. The ability to pull a trailer is very helpful. Good navigation skills and be able to follow GPS directions
* Able to work flexible hours, some weekends, some holidays
* Be able to work independently to navigate routes, work within a team with other employees and have good communication skills
Salary starts at $500.00 per week during the training period. Pay is then determined based on experience with the opportunity for pay increases based upon overall job performance.
Some weekend and holiday work is required.
Our shop is located in Kickapoo, IL.
