Heart Matter. Co-led by vocalist Amy D and vibraphonist Dillon Vado, the two composers share a kinship and collaborative spirit; weaving emotionally-chromatic journeys through song.

Their original music combines the improvisatory ethos of jazz and the intentionality of chamber music, presenting an innovative take on the singer-songwriter paradigm.

Audiences have been known to experience laughter, tears, and deep self-reflection at Heart Matter shows.

The lyrical depth of Heart Matter speaks to fans of Joni Mitchell and Becca Stevens, while the virtuosic arranging and ex*****on echoes Steely Dan, Esperanza Spalding, and The Bad Plus.
More than anything, Heart Matter seeks to share transformative music with those who need to hear it, offering a remedy for the trance of modern life and a sacred space to feel it all.

Hello SoHA Family!

You are invited to a volunteer day this Sunday 8/25 from 12:30-4:30pm with a free indoor concert at 5pm in the SoHA Theater featuring singer songwriter Eli Cherry and David Campbell.

Volunteer tasks we will be focused on:
1) applying wood stain to the outside of the temple building
2) picking blackberries to freeze
3) general clean up

SoHA will provide snacks and tools. Volunteers will be invited to take home some fresh picked blackberries. Showers are available after the work period and before the concert.

Do you have conscious events you want to promote? We've created a google calendar called "Corvallis Conscious Community Calendar" for leaders in our conscious community to post their events in a centralized location. The idea is that a centralized calendar for our conscious community will increase event awareness with less promotional effort, increase cross community participation, and reduce scheduling conflicts within our relatively small community. I plan to add all of the SoHA events to this calendar and promote the use of this calendar to the SoHA audience. If you or anyone else you know would like to add your events to this google calendar, message me and I can make them a co-administrator of the calendar. The calendar is to promote events only within 30 minutes of Corvallis or it will get cluttered up with all the events in Eugene and Portland.

I write for the Albany newspaper Interfaith Column and I will add a link to the calendar in my future articles. I will also post the calendar on the SoHA.center website so it's easier for people to find it. I think the calendar will get enough eyeballs to make it worthwhile for our community leaders to keep updated.
