My sister got married 1 year ago today! It was on St Patty’s day which is Patty’s favorite holiday in Pittsburgh. She looked friggin AMAZING in her gold tulle skirt and black velvet top. There were Pokemon,custom legos, and my own fiancé (to be at that time) officiated their ceremony! When our dad walked her up the aisle I audibly choked while crying/ taking these photos.
Chris and Patty’s wedding was perfect and is one of my favorite memories ever.
If you make it to the end, you will see me trying to give a toast at the reception….and instead bawling while my dad gives me comfort and we laughed. It took 3 tequila sodas for me to get the courage to share my feels. Patty pounded down a beer during and we both cried.
You see their wedding was also a celebration/ end of a chapter. Patty had been in Pittsburgh for 10+ years, we shared an apartment together there, and she was about to move to England to be with her husband. I was in the process of buying a house in New Orleans. The next chapter looked incredible but oh dear god the previous one had been glorious and ridiculous in its own ways but we were always together.
Weddings are important markers of time. The beginning of a new chapter and the grief/ amazing love and appreciation of the previous one coming to a close. We made some damn good memories that night and Grandma Doris would have been proud.

I was so stoked when I snapped this frame from Anneliese and Michael’s wedding day. I shoot at the pharmacy museum a lot and when I shoot at a venue many times, my goal is to find a new way to see it each time.
I had just taken their photos on the balcony when I saw this window and said “this may seem silly at first but I promise it’ll be worth it”. AND IT SO WAS. 🥹

The most joyful engagement! Erin and Dan chose together the date they got engaged and shared a picnic together in city park 🥹

The skirt of LJ’s dress was the same wedding dress her mom AND grandma wore. She was the 3rd generation to wear it on her wedding day! 🥹

When you elope in New Orleans, the city celebrates with you. Kathy and Edwin made a month long road trip out of their elopement and got married right after Mardi Gras at the @frenchquarterweddingchapel .
