Don’t Miss The Spark
Some believe that God designs us with gifts, talents, and callings all the way from the beginning. Funny enough, I remember growing up and how I always had a camera in my hands. I loved pictures. I loved looking at them, taking them, and cherishing them. Fast forward a bunch of years and my mother in law surprises me one Christmas with one of her very own cameras. She was a professional photographer for 20 years or so and took me under her wing to show me anything she knew and boy was it fun to chat photog life with her. I remember booking my first job with the very camera she gave me...and that was it. I was hooked. The lights came on, this is what I had wanted to do all along. It has been a handful of years since then, a lot has changed, my mother in law has passed away but her talents, her spark, her tips and encouragements have not passed a bit. I still have the camera she gave me as a memory of her faith in me, but my gear has grown, my talents have broadened, and my calendar is full of weddings, headshots, family shoots, traveling local and traveling afar. Each appointment just a beautiful opportunity to be with you in that very special moment, the privilege of capturing it in just the right way for you to talk about for years to come. A camera is more than just a piece of equipment, it is an extension of the eye, a pencil to the artist, a note to the musician, it is a word to the poet. Lets capture your moment together.
