Theater Chair Recycling Project
On Saturday a large crew from the PAHS’s NJROTC program came to work with us to help separate cushions from metal frame work, and 8 truck loads of metal were successfully transported away to be recycled.

Thank you again for the marvelous local community support as we continue to work on preparing the site for the future interior remodel of The Lincoln

Restoring an historic iconic building is a rewarding sustainable development project. Additionally, opportunities arise for bonding our community, by utilizing local builders, local crafts people, local art talent... As with the dropping of a pebble in a pool, a ripple effect is created and is of benefit to all.

By supporting The Lincoln's rehabilitation, your $ or $$$ will make a world of difference, not only to The Lincoln, but also to the local art community, restaurants, businesses, and to the people who are looking forward to enjoying The Lincoln's offerings. Donations, large or small, will be acknowledged in the theater.

Since 1916, The Lincoln Theater has generated fond memories for Port Angeles and Olympic Peninsula residents alike. Originally built as a single screen movie playhouse, The Lincoln has seen much change during its lifetime. In 2016 the theater was bought by a local family who are working with community groups, and individuals to bring the old building back to life. The goal is to transform The Lincoln into a versatile, intimate, community-spirited arts venue which will entertain, enrich, inspire and educate our local and extended community; while preserving The Lincoln as a key historic landmark for generations to come.

Recently, The Lincoln Theater became a member of The League of Historic American Theatres. As an LHAT member, we have access to forums and guidance that will help us while we renovate our historic theater.

Ghostlight Productions is The Lincoln's local, marvelous resident theater company, producing top quality musicals and performances every year. Ghostlight has long been a traveling theater company, and are looking forward to making The Lincoln their permanent home. Presently, work is being done on the design of the interior to create a quality performance space. Ghostlight was founded with the goal of providing world class entertainment, theater and arts education, and enhancing the quality of life in our wonderful community.

“PORT ANGELES — The Lincoln Theatre Renovation Project was given $175,000 during GivingTuesday this year.

The donation, received from an anonymous, private individual, is earmarked for finalizing the plans for the renovation of the theater at 103 E. First St., in downtown Port Angeles.

“This donation couldn’t come at a more perfect time,” said Ron Graham, incoming president of Ghostlight Productions, in a release.

“As we continue to emerge from COVID-19, our priority has been to get this project back on track.”

Plans to restore the 10,000-square-foot facility were put on hold due to the pandemic.

More funding is needed to upgrade and remodel the interior, he said.

“The theater is a raw canvas, ready for the next stage,” Graham said.
