As an official minister, I've begun educating myself on various laws for weddings in Oregon.

Did you know?

Oregon does NOT recognize common law marriage unless the couple comes from a state in which DOES recognize common law marriage.

Oregon will honor that and witness that marriage as VALID.

Oregon recognizes DOMESTIC PARTNERSHIP which allows you the benefits of being lawfully married without a certificate. You DO need to become registered to be recognized.

I am ORDAINED to conjoin couples in matrimony.

Looking forward to educating myself further on different wedding traditions and sharing them with you.

I was asked why I decided to become an ordained minister.

The Inquirer is atheist.

My response was that I believe EVERYONE has a right to believe what they want to spiritually.

We each have unique livelihoods.

All of us face different realities.

Atheists have every right to feel secure in their belief system as long as it is peaceful at the core. Which most atheist are peaceful, loving, and intelligent.

Religions offer safe places, community involvement, teach boundaries, among other emotional benefits as believers seek comfort and find it.

In a world of individuals that are more concerned about themselves, why not accept that religion as at least just that, something that gives direction when direction is absent?

Religion offers the power of prayer to spread over many people and energy is stronger when support is abundant and outcomes improve with that support.

Additionally, it gives me the freedom to marry anyone in LGBTQ community.

The only love I don't support, is that of pedophiles, stalkers, cannibals, abusers, cheaters. liars, fakers, manipulators etc... you see where I'm going.

I chose to become ordained because I want to support the freedom of religion, which includes freedom to be atheist.

My goal is to witness people as they are. Not how I want them to be.
