This has been long awaited, and we’re so excited to throw this funk/disco jam.

Our goal is to enrich the Sacramento dance scene with the dance styles of the funk and disco era.
‌
We want to bring together 𝙥𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙖𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙧𝙨 together to celebrate a historically profound era where funk dance styles dominated the streets. This will be an opportunity to share not only history and culture but also the early foundations of street dance with the newer generation. We want to educate the community with ideas to help them thrive and flourish in their passion 🩵

This will not be separate category battles. It will be one battle with the Top 16.

It's been difficult thinking of how to put this but we'd like to write a huge thank you letter to 🤍

This came as a shock to all of us. Many of us are still struggling to process what happened. Please be compassionate and patient with yourself as you grieve ❤️

Victor was an incredible influence on the Sacramento dance community. Whenever he showed up to an event it was all love. He was always accepting and appreciative of others and their art while instilling inspiration into our minds. You could never feel bad whenever Victor was around.

Though some of us may not know him personally, he has left an imprint on all of us. He reminded us to always be true to ourselves and who we dream to be no matter who made us feel rejected. To be different and like no other. Just like how an 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 should.

We cannot appreciate and love you enough for everything you've done for everyone in the community and in your life. You will always be remembered and cherished for being the amazing person that changed the dance scene and the hearts of many. Thank you for being you.

Let’s welcome our first NEW teacher: Anthony 👏🏼

Anthony has been dancing for 13 years dabbling in both choreography and freestyle. He was part of 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘇 and an assistant director for 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 at Valley High School His plan is to teach a short piece with the prompt of the day being different each time, subject to change and suggestions welcomed! 🔥

It’s time for our 2nd Community meeting. Join us and be part of this important conversation. We want to dig a little deeper into how we can build a inclusive dance community. Discuss what makes classes, sessions and battles intimidating and unsafe for some people and see what we can do to fix that! We have made and will keep this space a safe welcoming space. You will never hear us say things like “that’s just the way they are” or “just ignore them when they talk like that.” We have no space for people who won’t respect others or cause harm. We have told people to leave and not come back. We have enforced this ban, unapologetically. Building a strong, healthy community means quality and not quantity.

Starting this Monday (3/20) will be hosting open sessions! Music will change depending on the mood.

On the last Monday of each month, we’ll be hosting a battle session—so you can call out your friends for mock battles, practice battle tactics and prepare for battles!

Come in and take one of our classes. Each class is for all levels. Our teachers want to help you develop your individual style. Our studios main goal is to always support the whole dancer. We are not clicky. When you walk into the studio it should feel comfortable and safe. When you take a class it should have the same feeling. Point-blank period 🥰 #916

We are very excited to announce our new KRUMP training session. and .god_ have been in the lab almost every night, for months, curating this weekly KRUMP training. They have found a format for KRUMP training that is rich in the culture and history. There will be no 8 counts. This is an all levels training. If you don’t know foundational KRUMP you will learn. Once you have the foundation then you will learn how to use it as your individual voice.

🚨 NEW CLASS ALERT 🚨

will be teaching every Wednesday from 5-6 PM on Mobility & Flexibility!

We decided to have this as a class because there’s a lot of talented dancers there who don’t know how to work on their body in order to improve it for dance.

During these classes, you’ll learn:
👉🏻 Why this area is important
👉🏻 What movements you’ll be able to do more of

And PLENTY more 💚

You don’t have to be at a specific level to STRETCH. But let us know if any injuries prior to class. This is not just for DANCERS. It’s open to anyone.

Emily is a certified personal trainer w/ a background in strength training, nutrition and mobility exercises 💪🏼
