Performance Space (PS) is an organization of people managed by the teachers using space at The Studio (TS) who organize and run a Performance Space inside The Studio in order for their students and the teachers of classes to showcase their talents. PS will make available coffee, tea and other non-alcoholic drinks in the style of a coffee house. The Tuesday night slot from 9 PM to 11 PM will featur
e students and teachers of Jazz and associated music styles. It is being managed by Jacob Wiseenbach and Michael McCloskey who are from the band The Standard Session. Plans are for the Tuesday night time slot to sponsor the Saginaw Area Youth Jazz Ensemble. The music director of SAYJE is Raeann Jones. Jacob will be teaching Trumpet and Guitar classes at The Studio beginning in January. Raeann will be teaching a wide variety of music lessons at The Studio beginning in January. The first performance will include The Standard Session on January 5th. Other guest artists will be rotated into the Tuesday night Jazz sessions. Please contact us if you are interested in being a guest artist. The Standard Session is a Live jazz trio consisting of saxophone, trumpet, and vocals that feature different rhythm section players. From old standards to new tunes, we know jazz! Members are Michael McCloskey - Saxophone || Alisha Wisniewski - Vocals || Jacob Weisenbach - Trumpet.
