A Perfect Valentine's Event! Connie Evingson Music. Jazz vocalist Connie Evingson has tuned up her voice for everything from bebop to bossa nova to Beatles covers. She's sat in with the Minnesota Orchestra, toured worldwide and thrilled at Lincoln Center. The Twin Cities songbird will pluck the most romantic riffs from her expansive repertoire for her Valentine's Day performance at Cabaret Theater. Toting a few of Cupid's arrows and a sentimental songbook, Evingson's ready to carry you and your date away with an evening of amorous and amusing love songs. You get the bouquet, she's got the ballads. She'll be accompanied by a band of North Star State all-stars, including Adi Yeshaya on keys, saxophonist Dave Car and bassist Gary Raynor. Together, they'll answer Cole Porter's lingering question "What is this thing called love? This funny thing called love?"
