The Hollyhocks will be in full bloom along the 50k course on Saturday!! Registration closes tonight at midnight, Mountain time. We will also have race day registration 1 hour before both races.

The annual Winter Solstice run/hike is happening tomorrow on the S Mtn trails. It’s a free shindig and you can come and go as you please.

The basics are as follows:
-Run/hike from Sunrise to Sunset on the shortest DotY
-7:17am to 4:46pm
-Log laps on the whiteboard at the completion of a lap
-3.4 mile out and back w/1020’ gain
-Must use backside to Pano and return the same way
-Trip starts in the F street parking lot
-Uphill users will yield to the downhill user
-No aid will be provided except water and a lil treat
-Users planning on all day, please show up by 7am

All people that complete 5 or more laps will receive a special prize! Let’s have some fun on the shortest day of the year to celebrate getting more and more daylight everyday after the Solstice!

Additionally, Christmas Mountain Run and Kristy Falcon have donated 2 race entries for the 5 mile race on November 24th. One will be raffled off to a participate and one will be given to a volunteer.

Falke will also be hosting an easy group run Friday the 20th at 7am from . Demo socks for all to try out on the run! There will be 2 groups, a slower and shorter for those racing and a faster one for those who need a little more. Then we will head over to for some delicious carb loading pastries!

A pacer for a 50k…Why not!?!

50k runners are allowed to have a pacer from the Spartan aid station to the finish, around 5 miles. It’s the perfect opportunity for a friend or family member to share in the journey.

Pacers must sign a liability waiver at the Spartan aid station before pacing.

and are looking for a couple more medical volunteers to help support the Methodist Mtn ultra run on Oct 21 in Salida, Co.
