It's time for the 14th annual Paddle for Parkinson's kayak and stand-up paddle board event! This Labor Day Weekend, Saturday, August 31, 2024, Paddle for Parkinson's will be back at Billish Park Boat Launch. The paddle route is a 2.5 mile loop from Billish Park to a turnaround at the Padre Island Yacht Club and back. Beginning at 9:00 am, young and not-as-young kayakers, paddle boarders, or anything manually propelled can participate. Landlubbers can also join in for some live music, BBQ, and an awards ceremony. I want to take a minute this morning to thank everyone that was part of the NBC Trail Runs yesterday. From all the participants, (and we had 60 young runners from New York join us), the NBC staff, PBE staff, vendors, all the volunteers, and my family and friends that helped with just about all aspects of this event. All of you made this event a success along with GOD's blessing of such wonderful weather!
