I have always thought of flowers as a metaphor for life. Being able to see circle of life in a quicker succession than ours makes me value my life a little more. To see a flower start from a bulb, grow into a beautiful bloom and then it return back to the earth can be sad but it can also me awe inspiring! To know that simple carbon chains can come together to create something so elegantly designed, so full of life! Seems like pure magic. They are magic. We are magic.

🌸 One of our favorite flowers this season originates from Central Asia.

🌸 The word “Rana” translates to “frog” in Latin, and in the wild these beauties grow near many natural habitats of frogs like swamps or marshes!

When things feel out of our control and I feel disempowered to create any change I step back and remember that we are our brother’s keeper. I find strength and resilience in my humanity when I exercise that knowledge. I find strength in the fact that I can create my own Sunny patch by loving my brothers and sisters. Small acts like calling a friend, dropping of a care package, or even truly acknowledging the humanity of the people I run into, remind me of the fact that I can have a tangible positive impact in the world around me.

Hello friends it’s me Eva the owner head flower enthusiast here at Sage Sisters. Have you ever felt like a bad ass bitch? Like you have all the knowledge necessary to kick ass and take names? ..
For me this does not come naturally ..
For me many days it feels like I am “playing the part of a business owner”...
That by luck, by circumstance, by some sort of supernatural power I am where I am.

I often feel people are going to find out that am not as put together, or as knowledge, or as creative as I should be running my company. ..
I think many people who identify as woman feel this way. For many woman, the idea that we have everything we need to be successful is a foreign and uncomfortable thought. This is called the Imposter Syndrome...
For me I have learned that I can’t completely get rid of this idea but I can definitely call it out...
This feeling of unworthiness sabotages us. It keeps us from going after our dreams. Asking for a raise. And from speaking up even when we are knowledgeable and capable....
For those people who feel like me. Please know that you don’t have to feel like a bad ass bitch to be one. Know that that your accomplishments ARE because of your skill, dedication and talent.
