Cuadro Class Workshop Information

Please arrive early to stretch or warm up.

Date: Sunday October 9th

Beginner Level Cuadro Class: 4:00-5:30.

In this class I will break down how a Cuadro Flamenco works. This will include Palmas,Cante,Guitar and dance. Each of you will have the opportunity to work on this. You will need to bring a notebook to write down Cante Lyrics.

Intermediate Level Cuadro Class: 6:00-7:30. Only 6 Students per class for this level.

This will be the same style class we had before. For this class you will need to have at least 1 full choreography and have some performing experience. No exceptions on this. If you don't have a full choreography we can work on this in private lessons. The purpose of this class is to get you to advance in your Baile as a solo dancer and at the same time be able to accompany others.
Pick 2 parts of your Baile that you would like to work on. Prior to the class I would like for you to let me know what Palo you would like to work on. This way the singer is ready.

Price: $55.00 1.5hr class. Includes Guitarist and Singer

Hello Flamencos:

I am teaching lessons in the evenings. Private lessons only. If you are interested please let me know. I have openings for next week.

I am also wanting to teach a Beginner Level Cuadro Class.This will be in September. I would like to have this as a monthly class.
I can have up to 10 students in this class. So please pass this on to any of your classmates that you think would enjoy this class.

For Intermediate level if you are interested in performing please let me know. I have a unique opportunity for you. You could come and perform at Cafe Sevilla with me along with other artists. We can work on your skills prior to the performance through a private lesson. If you perform with me you will receive a discount on the private lesson rate. Contact me for details.

I teach Cante, Baile, Castanets and Palmas.

My rate is $35/hr per person. No additional studio fee.

It’s never too late to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit. Start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you’ve never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. And if you find that you’re not I hope you have the strength to start all over again.

Hello My Peeps!!!It's been a minute. I am back from my trip to Spain. I had a great time being with my family. There are finally events happening and I am glad to see you all attending and still being safe.
Kambiz and I will be at SpaceBar tonight in La Mesa. This will be the last show at SpaceBar for the year. We start at 7:00 and go till 9:00. If you would like to join us simply show up. I could use some help with Palmas. Bring your instruments and come jam with us. I will be using my new Castanets tonight. RED!!!!

I am performing every Saturday at Cafe Sevilla. If you would like to come and watch the show let me know. I can always bring a guest. It's a great way of learning.
I will be available for privates the last week in December. Please text or email me to get some dates.
April 3rd we will be having the Sevilla Festival in San Diego. I will send more info on this on a later date. I would like to see this Flamenco Community attend and be part of this event. This time we will be dancing Sevillanas on and off the stage. So add this to your calendar.
I am so glad to see that many of you are studying with Lakshmi,Carlos,Oscar and whoever else is teaching in San Diego. Let's keep this moving.

I am available for Cante and Baile Private lessons only. Classes are held in my home.. There is no studio fee so this keeps the price down for students.

This class is geared for Intermediate/advanced level students. For those starting to perform this would be a great class for you.
