SOLO SUNDAYS: Hilarious, Heartbreaking & Provocative Solo Performances
Solo Sundays, San Francisco's premier showcase, presents select samplings of veteran virtuosos and top emerging talent in the intimate Stage Werx theater in San Francisco's Mission District. Beyond stand-up and storytelling, solo theater creates casts of thousands - plus special effects - all bursting from a single performer. The results are hilarious and heartbreaking, passionate and provocative, ablaze with personal visions.
Since 2009, Solo Sundays has provided a place for the Bay Area’s most acclaimed solo performers to develop their work. The list includes Marga Gomez (“Lovebirds”, “Pound”, and “Latin Standard”), Will Durst (“Durst Case Scenario”), Echo Brown (“Black Virgins are Not for Hipsters”), Kevin Rolston (“Deal with the Dragon”), Mark Kenward (“Nantucket”), Enzo Lombard (“Love, Humiliation & Karaoke”), Julia Jackson (“Children are Forever (All Sales are Final)”, Thao P. Nguyen (“Fortunate Daughter”), Zahra Noorbakhsh (“All Atheists are Muslim”), Sara Felder (“Melancholy, a Comedy”), Howard Petrick (“Breaking Rank”), Rebecca Fisher (“Memphis on My Mind”), Jill Vice (“Tipped & Tipsey”, “A Fatal Step”), Ady Abbott (“From P**s to Bliss”), Kate Robards (“Mandarin Orange”, “Ain’t That Rich”), and Maureen Langan (“Daughter of a Garbage Man”).
