Dear Friends,

We have been anticipating the Doyle Lawson Concert on September 11th but keeping an eye on the covid virus. From our view, groups somehow become infected and folks in our age group are quite susceptible. We do not want to cause illness in our patrons. Therefore we have cancelled the concert on September 11th. This whole year has been a washout as far as entertainment goes. We hope you understand and are healthy. We are anticipating next year. Surely this virus will be put to sleep by then.

Unfortunate news folks. Due to the ongoing viral outbreak we have to cancel the Baker Family concert this June. We do hope to book them later this year when conditions improve. We miss you all at the Opry but we want everyone safe & able to come when when we reopen. Be safe out there.

Dear Friends,

Just as we were developing a good bluegrass jam with the possibility of splitting it into two smaller groups, we get the message that we are not to have a group of more than 10 people. Another casualty is our Little Roy and Lizzy event on April 24th is cancelled. Bonnie called Bill and said their May 1st Festival had to be cancelled also. (They pull in more than a thousand people to their festival.) We MUST get a handle on this virus so we will do our part. We are cancelling the April 4th jam. We will play it by ear for the other events we had planned. Stay well! We shall meet again when it is safe!

Dear Friends,

Doyle Lawson, an American traditional bluegrass and southern gospel musician, will be on stage at the Chrystal Opry House September 6, 2019 at 7 pm. He is best known as an accomplished mandolin player, vocalist, producer, and leader of the 6-man group known as Quicksilver. If you enjoy good four part harmony, this is the band to hear. Check them out on U-tube and don’t miss a great show!

General admission tickets are $15 with reserved seating at $25 and $20. We have a few reserved seats available. Those wishing a reserved seat should call Bill Hayes, at 903-546-6893 to see what is available.

Doors will open at 5:00 pm and the snack bar will be open and ready for business. Hamburgers, hot dogs and brisket sandwiches are available for those wishing to eat.

The Chrystal Opry House is located at 1977 White Mound Rd. Sherman, TX. 75090. It is one and a half miles west of Tom Bean or six miles east of Howe, TX, on FM 902 and a half mile south on White Mound Road.

This is a friendly reminder that the Baker Family will perform at the Chrystal Opry House this Friday, June 14th, at 7 pm. I can promise that you will be entertained.

Please mark your calendars for June 14th. The Baker Family will perform at the Chrystal Opry House at 7 PM. This is a very talented family band consisting of three young people and Mom (Carrie). Trustin is 20 plays the fiddle among other instruments, and has won multiple awards. Carina is 17, plays the mandolin among other instruments, and has won awards. Elijah is 14, plays the bass fiddle and guitar, and has won awards. They have performed on RFD TV. Listen to them on U-Tube. Dear Friends,

We are pleased to inform you that Little Roy and Lizzie will be at the Chrystal Opry House on February 23rd at 7 pm. Doors will open at 5:30 and the show will begin at 7 pm. Admission is $20 at the door. Advance tickets are $18 and must be purchased by the 22nd. Send us your check for the number of tickets you want and they will be waiting for you at the door. We need a great crowd so that he will want to come on a Saturday night next year.



The snack bar will be open and ready for business at 5:30. We will have barbeque sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, coffee, water, soft drinks, candy, ice cream, popcorn, chips, crackers, coffee, water and tea.



Our address is 1977 White Mound Road, Sherman, TX 75090. We are 1 ½ miles west of Tom Bean or 6 miles east of Howe on 902, and ½ mile south on White Mound Road.
