Hey! Cats n' Kittens! Dig this!

Music lovers and grumblers, I have some good news about Hank Dietles Tavern in Rockville, MD. We have signed a 10 year lease with the owner of the property and are preparing to finish the rehabilitation that was ongoing until Tony vacated at the end of June.
It could take us several months to get the space back to normal, and we will try to make it better in many ways. Our focus will be to have a place where local and traveling roots bands can perform to really enthusiastic fans, and where younger audiences can get involved with all the great music of past generations.
We appreciate all your past support and especially everyone involved with rehabbing the building after the fire back in February of 2018. There is a lot to be done in the next few months, and it will be a struggle, so bear with us while we move toward a grand opening date.
Thanks to all you music fans, dancers and loyal patrons. Without you we cannot survive.

Most of you know by now that the QHT and adjacent restaurants and upper apartments experienced a major destructive fire early thursday morning. We don't know how long this much loved music venue will be closed down until we get a better assessment of the damage. We are are doing our best to co-ordinate with Jackie at her other Silver Spring, MD. restaurant/bar location to have bands play on saturdays and possibly fridays for the foreseeable future. We will post as soon as we possibly can about that. We wish all the employees and patrons well and hope for the best to a return to normalcy. We are keeping in touch with all the bands that we have scheduled through June so far, and will try our best to keep everyone informed. Thank you all for your long term and on going support.
