Dear Cars and Coffee St. Louis Family,
As we gear up for tomorrow’s event at SunRise Church, marking another chapter in our shared passion for cars, I find it imperative to address the “rowdiness” issue concerning the Cars and Coffee community, as well as ourselves.

We stand at a crossroads, with the spirit and continuity of Cars and Coffee St. Louis hinging on our collective actions. Our last gathering at SunRise Church (2023), along with last Saturday's event at Holman Motorcars, encountered instances of repetitive wide-open-throttle revving, burnouts, and speeding, which seemed to be fueled by a desire for social media attention and ignorance.

This not only risks the safety of attendees but also strains our relationship with the local neighborhood and authorities. As someone who deeply cares about our car community, it pained me to see us facing the same challenges that many automotive event organizations are struggling with around the US. We don’t want to stoop to that level.

We understand the allure of watching these beautiful vehicles put the power down. Heck, that’s how it all started for us. I’d go as far as to say there are probably not too many folks who like the sound of a combustion engine more than I do… but I would have never desperately swarmed a vehicle at a busy intersection and begged them to show off. Neither should you! And DRIVERS, when the cameras come out… stay cool!

If your car sounds great at wide-open throttle, it will sound good at half-throttle, too. If that’s not the case, your car is probably not the rolling symphony you think it is. No one is asking you to idle out, but wide-open throttle 500HP pulls in a residential area are unacceptable. We thank all those who have been joining us with maturity, respect, and cooperation all these years.

Many have said we should confront these young men and women. I’m here to tell you we have, and we do. 8/10 times, it’s not mischief motivating them but ignorance. So we’ll go ahead and take responsibility for not reaching these folks with our messaging; we’ll be fixing that moving forward by spinning up a TikTok to reach our problem audience, increasing transparency with regular newsletters, creating new signage, etc. We don’t want to implement speed humps or invite law enforcement, but at this rate... we're weighing our options. Moreover, we want all of you to feel safe when attending our events.

It’s crucial to remember that the essence of Cars and Coffee St. Louis goes beyond the roar of engines. It's about camaraderie, a shared appreciation for automotive culture, and, most importantly, our responsibility to respect one another and the communities that host us.

What an event!! Thank you to everyone who came out this weekend to our first event of the year
We had a the whole rainbow out this weekend! We are looking foward to another exciting season this year.

Thank you for providing the coffee and other refreshments!

A huge shoutout to for showing off some beautiful cars and providing us with a beautiful lot for us to park in.

On another note, we had some pretty reckless behavior this weekend that is unacceptable and will do nothing but get future events shut down. We will speak more on this soon.

Our next event is this weekend at Sunrise Church in Ofallon, Mo from 8-10 AM. Event page coming soon. We appreciate all of you and hope to see you there Saturday!!

🚘 Strap in for this Saturday’s Cars and Coffee at Holman Motorcars from 10AM to 12PM. We ask that you not arrive at 8AM before Holman staff. Join everyone for a relaxed morning with fellow car enthusiasts. We MUST respect the nearby hotel guests' peace by avoiding loud or fast driving. NO BURNOUTS! ⚠️ Highway 64 is right there if you must. Drive safe; don't be a dummy.

A Coffee Truck will be on site and the 2024 INEOS Grenadier will be on display alongside your favorite supercars. We're excited Holman is planning with us again this year -- So join us each last Saturday of the month until October! Let's keep it going. Thank you!
