Colure & Diamond In 2005, Diamond Music Group was formed by Lavae McClinnahan and Edward Walsh to operate as Label Services and A&R services for independently funded recording companies. The purpose was to give independent musicians and artist the ability to reach the masses for a fraction of the cost major recording companies would spend in the areas of product placement, marketing, development, sponsorships, and other entertainment branding areas. Recording Industry 2006 - 2010 Following our first quarter in business we took further steps to become a staple in product development by opening 2 state-of-the-art recording and post production facilities in Las Vegas, NV dubbed The Lions Den 1, and the following year on the historic Las Vegas Boulevard Lions Den 2. As the recording industry continued to evolve, the need for consumers to record in high-end facilities came to be a thing of the past as more cost effective and big box – pro audio stores took control of the pre and post production customers. Services Only Transition 2010 - 2012 In 2010 Diamond Music Group and it’s shareholders agreed that it was time to dissolve the Lions Den brand and all studio assets were liquidated, however, the services sector of Diamond continued to profit and prove to be more beneficial to clients. Label Services + A&R Services The following year DMG completed it’s first independent project for Las Vegas-based independent Too Much Entertainment and the artist Cabby with his single Left Lane ft Yung Joc which peaked to top 10 independent in urban Mediabase Reporting. In the same year, DMG launched North Carolina-based independent 11 Grooves (11 Grooves/ Ingrooves Fontana) which released it’s first national single by its artist G$ properly titled All I Know ft national recording artist (Lil Scrappy (Money In The Bank, VH1′s Love and Hip-Hop) In 2012 DMG was merged with Los Angeles holding company Colure and Diamond parent company to Diamond Music Group the popular distribution network for film soundtracks and music through Ingrooves/ Fontana and Lightyear/ Caroline, while also keeping the services side via daughter company Diamond Private Label exclusively servicing high end clients in the areas of branding, consulting, and venture negotiations for some of the world's greatest brands such as Meister Watches (Sponsorships). The Toledo Show (Branding and Marketing), among others. In 2013 Diamond Priority Servicing was formed to maintain the missing link in product release to still assist DMG and other independents with product placement to tastemakers. With the decline in sales of recorded music and no new signings, the Colure brand transformed to a full services company with a focus in the areas of marketing strategy, public affairs, and the development of its own physical assets to increase its direct benefit within the community. As time flies Colure and Diamond continues to grow and operate as an independent company with its current ventures including the existing Diamond services.
