I've been a part of television and the visual arts since 1995. I am also a five time Emmy nominated, and one time Emmy winner as a producer/director/editor. I have a multi-cam setup for capturing events. I can also produce and direct live events such as large multi day conventions for major cooperations. I'm a full time executive producer, and in my time away from work, I enjoy working on various freelance projects.

I’ve never had to make an emergency camera purchase before, but here is the unexpected addition to our family, the Canon EOS R8 full frame camera.

If any of you know where can recycle my Canon RP, let me know. I can’t keep it but I don’t want to literally toss it out if anyone can salvage parts from it.

It works as long as you put the battery in right before you want to use it, but I discovered it will put up a bit of a fight when setting manual settings and keeping them, because it powered down twice on my eclipse shoot. My eclipse photos were OK, but not great. I still have to sort those.

R8 has the lens. Broken RP is body only.
