Junior Jacob Badger and freshman Michael Macias hold the lead with 11 wins!

Right behind them are a pair of freshmen Jack Miller with 7 and Khadyn Jacobs with 6!

Best wishes to Coach Park’s daughter, Tateum Park, as she wrestles today in the National College Women’s Wrestling Championship, the BIGGEST NCAA college Nationals event in Women’s Wrestling. She will be holding down the 116 spot for #5 ranked Augsburg University.

Tateum is a Davenport North Alumni who was a 4 year Varsity wrestler on the boys team. She also earned her school 2 State Titles. Participating in the first Girl’s State event her Junior year.

This is Tateum’s senior year at Augsburg, we wish her nothing but success as she battles today.

4th place at State! Lost to Wauconda by tie-breaker criteria in the 3rd place dual. Proud of our guys for their amazing season!

There will be a Welcome Home Ceremony for the boys wrestling team tomorrow at 6 PM in the main gym of Geneseo High School. All are welcome to attend as we welcome them home and present the trophy to the school.

Ella Schmit was busy this past weekend, competing in Sweden!

Very cool!

Ella Schmit of the University of Iowa placed fifth at the Klippan Lady Open in Klippan, Sweden. Competing at 62 kg/136 lbs. Schmit was 1-2 for the tournament. She competed in the Open division that had 26 teams from 16 countries. This is a big step up in competition for a true freshman to compete [....

Davenport Girl’s Wrestling Alumni, Tateum Park has qualified for the Women’s College National Championships 🌟 Tateum is a 2020 graduate from Davenport North High School where she was a 4-year Varsity wrestler on the boy’s team. (Before Sanctioning) she is a 2x High School State Champion and wrestles for No. 4 in the country, Augsburg University.

She will wrestle at the National Championships in Cedar Rapids, IA on March 3-4.
