dakhabrakha is an âethno-chaosâ world music quartet from Kyiv, Ukraine. Accompanied by Indian, Arabic, African, and Ukrainian traditional instrumentation, the quartetâs astonishingly powerful and uncompromising vocal range creates a trans-national sound rooted in Ukrainian culture. At the crossroads of Ukrainian folklore and theater, their musical spectrum is at first intimate then riotous, plumbing the depths of contemporary rhythms, inspiring âcultural and artistic liberation.â

Disney and Pixarâs Coco features the OscarÂź-winning song âRemember Meâ by GRAMMYÂź and OscarÂź-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, with additional songs co-written by fellow GRAMMYÂź and OscarÂź winner, Germaine Franco (Encanto), and co-director and screenwriter Adrian Molina.
The concert is an audio and visual celebration of Coco, and has a deep connection to the Mexican holiday DĂa de los Muertos. âRemember Meâ perfectly encapsulates the themes and sentiments of remembrance, ofrendas of marigolds, calaveras and traditional foods, and joyful celebration of paying respects to departed friends, family and ancestors.

Join us at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30 for an evening with Step Afrika!, the first professional company dedicated to the uniquely African American art of stepping.
Step Afrika! blends percussive dance styles practiced by historically African American fraternities and sororities; traditional West and Southern African dances; and an array of contemporary dance and art forms into a cohesive, compelling artistic experience. Performances are much more than dance shows; they integrate songs, storytelling, humor, and audience participation. The blend of technique, agility, and pure energy makes each performance unique and leaves the audience with their hearts pounding.

About the Movie:

Brian Williams was released in November 2022 as part of âRoots of American Culture: A Cross Country Visit with Living Treasures of the Folk and Traditional Arts", a collaborative piece produced by the NEA and NCTA. C. Brian Williams was one of only ten 2022 NEA National Heritage Fellows, achieving the nation's highest honor in the folk and traditional arts.
