*LIFE UPDATE*
The season is changing for us. My heart feels so many feelings. Today I made the last bridal bouquet that I will likely make for quite a while. While I’m grieving the loss of a 6 year season as a floral designer (spent primarily in the wedding industry), I’m looking forward to a new season of returning to my “why” of what got me into flowers and pursuing more of my passion for using flowers for healing and therapy.

We only have one more week here in Kentucky. My husband and I have taken a job in Texas working as “house parents” for at-risk youth with a great organization. Our hearts ache for the crisis of the breakdown of stable family units in America and the huge gaps that has left in the hearts and lives of the younger generation. We definitely don’t have all the answers, but we want to play our part in answering this resounding cry for mothers and fathers to rise up and take their place.

As far as Floral Joy goes, my heart continues to stay the same- to us flowers to bring joy, hope, and healing to the hurting. I am excited to use gardening and floral arranging in this new setting and give these youth their own healing experiences with flowers. I hope to continue to use this platform to share the beauty of flowers because flowers will always be a big part of my life.

I want to thank you all again for all of your support. It means more than you know!

It is with both sadness and excitement in my heart that I’m announcing that the time has come for me to close this chapter of my Floral Joy business. Joshua finishes up seminary in a few short weeks and with that our season in Kentucky is coming to an end. Words can not express how much this place and the people here have come to mean to us. I’m especially grateful for all of the amazing support and kindness I’ve been shown as I’ve set out on this business venture. THANK YOU Wilmore for being such an amazing home and community to start a business and a family in.

With this being said I wanted to let you all know that this will be my last week in and my dried florals will be 50% off all week! So if you have been eyeing a bouquet for a certain shelf in your house now is the time to stop by and grab it Tuesday-Friday 10-5!

Swipe to see where these tulips came from! I’m so proud to say I grew these beauties! You can stop by tomorrow 10-5 or Sat 10-3 to sn**ch them for your Easter table (or apparently for a gender reveal according to my choice of bouquet wrapping) Vase for $20 or wrap for $15. You will be amazed by the layers of beauty these parrot tulips have when they open! Nature is incredible...

I got my hands on some gorgeous spring flowers today! Hyacinth, tulip, forsythia, p***y willow branches... it doesn’t get much better than that! Spring starts a week from tomorrow and I feel it coming!! I just hope that these flowers bless the receiver of them as much as they have blessed me!

I’m so incredibly excited for the tomorrow!!! Thinking back to all the amazing memories from last years conference (and the year before)... A LOT can happen in a year ;) Love my flower fam! So ready to connect with more flower lovers and learn and grow alongside friends!

It was 45 degrees today (after a couple weeks of nasty winter weather) so I strapped on my sweet babe and walked out to my garden plot. It’s still just covered in snow but I know that there is a lot going on underneath the surface in all of my bulbs I planted! I can taste spring in the air!

Valentine’s Day is TOMORROW! Happy *early* Valentine’s Day. No matter what your situation in life I hope you know that YOU ARE LOVED!
