Winterport Union Meeting House is having its 5th Annual Blueberry/Bluegrass Festival Saturday, August 3 from 12-4pm (rain date Sun., Aug 4th). Lots of food, vendors, music, games, silent auction, and of course blueberry baked goods! Good family fun!

The Neighbor’s Cupboard, which is our local food pantry, needs volunteers to help bring groceries out to the vehicles of those which need assistance. If you are available the Neighbor’s Cupboard is open from 9am-10am and is located at the Victoria Grant Center.

We’re expecting a large crowd next Saturday, August 5th for the Blueberry/Bluegrass Festival at the Winterport Union Meeting House, 177 Main Street, Winterport.

With that in mind, parking will be available not only at the Town’s parking lot, but also we have been given permission to park at the old fire station on Main Street.

What else will be happening at the Blyeberry/Bluegrass Festival on Saturday, Aug 5th you ask?

There will be a walking tour of the historic buildings in town. Come learn about the settlers of Winterport. For example, did you know that 100 ships were built here? There was also a large amount of vests produced here and shipped to Boston. You can also learn where the stagecoach stop was.

Festival is at Winterport Union Meeting House, 177 Main Street, Winterport.

This year the Blueberry/Bluegrass Festival at the Winterport Union Meeting House will have our local ambulance and fire truck available for kids, young and old, to check out.

This year the Odd Fellows organization will be supplying hot dogs/hamburgers/chips/soda. Please come and support them as well as the Winterport Union Meeting House.
