Have you EVER seen such a darling? She’s called the Peonie Moonrise. I’m sure the bees are just as crazy about her as I am. 🐝
We, at are swimming in peonies at the moment and yes it’s wonderful. We have so many different varieties and colors to choose from. But you’ll have to come see for yourself. Peonies only show their grace for a very short season, and now’s the time. Bless your mom this mother’s day with this unique flower. Every girl loves a peonie. You can’t go wrong in choosing them for her. 💛🥰

Hi beautiful flower lovers 🌸. This is baby Albie. God only picks the finest flowers first, and He took sweet Albie home, before some of us even got to meet him. He graced his family for only one week. and Stuart are friends of my girl, . Simmy was blessed to hold this precious bundle.
Please can I ask you , if you have even the smallest amount, to help this wonderful grieving family with the medical costs so that they can at least have the time to mourn their great loss without added stress.
We were put on earth to help each other. And I’m grateful to any of you that can spare a few rands. We gather for Albie’s short life soon to bid this Angel farewell.

The Dandelion. 🌼
The most underrated 'w**d' in the world.
I'm a Dandelion. In fact I wanted to call my page after this beauty, but it was already taken and I had no way to claim her name. But I am a Dandelion. I'm a beautiful yellow flower. A w**d to most gardeners. Yet, we start out as gorgeous balls of puff. Every child knows the joy of picking her, and puffing at her gently, watching her silvery white seeds be dispersed by their breath, and thus promoting her growth.
What the children don't realize in their joy of the moment, dispersing her seeds, is that most of us are a bit of a her. We have our good times, and our bad times. But you can't kill a w**d.
So why try. She's there for a reason. She has health benefits. That's the plant I'm talking about now ( google it), but if you, like me, feels like a dandelion, know you are blessed. Because we are resilient, robust and natural survivors.

Here's to you all. Live in the PRESENT, not in the past. For the PRESENT, will become the FUTURE, and in turn the past.
Drop your baggage. Let it go.
Life is about choices, and only you can make them.

Phew it's been chilies in the Western Cape . So much rain, so much flooding, yet the resilience of our fabulous South Africans, is so rife and visible.

A bit about me.
I'm a total monochrome. If you don't know what that is, I'll sum it up briefly.
It basically means I'm a lover of neutrals. So all the favorite colors in my life are those of the Big Five. 🦁🐆🐘🐃 🦏. (Plus WHITE)

Get out of your comfort zone..... I hear my inner voice calling. .
So play with winter colors is what I'm doing.
I must say that I find it difficult, but I'm loving it too.....
I've also noticed that most of our deep colors are selling faster during this cold wet weather.

Hello beautiful flower lovers.
Today is about the beautiful Iceberg Rose.
Did you know that it’s the most solid and most popular rose in South Africa? Easy to grow, abundance of fragrance and sometime tinged with pale pink.
Pruning should happen in late winter, and don’t be shy with your cutting. They love a good trim. Cut away branches that grow in the center of the bush and try create a bowl shape.
And remember to only feed her one month after pruning.

The Stall tomorrow is an absolute ‘must see‘! 🌸
Adene's farm flowers has collaborated with SKOON., and we have created a Little corner of Heaven on Earth for you at the Oranjezicht City Farm and Market Day.

Team work is key when setting up a show like this. Larry did the ornamental cabbage arches, while I arranged the flowers into place. Issah had her hands full color coordinating the flowers for me.
We had so much fun and laughter , and isn’t that what work should be all about?

Right now, I’ve been planted at home 🏡 , recovering after CMC Thumb Joint Replacement Surgery.
Ouch yeah, but blessed to tell you that two weeks post surgery, I’m on the mend. 🙌🏼

Sometimes, although rare, we have quiet moments at Adene's farm flowers at the Oranjezicht City Farm and Market Day so to keep busy, my partner in crime , aka , grab a few amazing fresh vegetables with Sheryls permission and slap together some veg bouquets. What an amazing gift idea. Why not come next weekend and choose your own vegetables and we can slap it together as a gift bouquet for someone. Wonderful winter soup combinations.

Winter Dahlias!
First time to be grown in Cape Town.
