Time to get back to the theatre after mad March! We’re very excited to see to see our Rumpus fam Emelia and Christian in this reimagining of Strindberg’s timeless classic ‘Miss Julia’.
It opens next week at Goodwood Theatre from the 18th-29th of April. Tickets on Eventbrite!

Get the streamers and balloons as real-life lovers, turned identical twin boys, S.E Grummet and Sam Kruger bring you ‘Creepy Boys’, a bizarre new comedy with just a splash of the occult.
Brought to you by our favourite Rumpus hotshot producer, Cailtin Ellen Moore, ‘Creepy Boys’ is a q***r, fantasy, chaotic comedy romp combining clown, drag, sexy songs and William Dafoe.
Running from March 9th-March 19th, at The Yurt at Migration Museum.
ID: S.E Grummet and Sam Krugers faces close up, they have moustaches drawn on and false eyelashes, they are wearing white sailor hats. There is a piece of birthday cake in the foreground and both of their faces are lit by a candle in the cake.
Our wonderful member Chris Bond is bringing his award winning podcast to the fringe! Role to Cast is a ttrpg podcast which explores the world of role play games outside of DND. This is their first live show and just like the podcast is sure to be a great time. Get in quick, there’s only 4 shows in the very fitting Lost Dice Cafe.
ID: a purple poster of a purple landscape , there are 4 dice sitting in the middle. The poster says ‘Role to Cast, a live tabletop roleplay experience.
4 different shows 4 different days.
Feb 25- Cyberpunk Red.
March 4- Vampire the Masquerade.
March 11- Kids on Bikes.
March 18- Pulp Cthulhu.’
Come say goodbye to our much loved Bowden venue this Saturday at 7! Event details can be found on our page.

ATTENTION: We have some updates!
The time has come, after 4 happy and fruitful years, we must now say goodbye to our iconic Bowden home 🥺💔
But don’t you fret, we don’t want you to miss out on saying goodbye! We will be having a last hurrah on Saturday, February 11th! There will be more details to come, but make sure you save the date.
Due to this, we will be having to postpone the award-winning 2022 programmed show, ‘All the Things I Couldn’t Say’ presented by incredible Deus Ex Femina until May-June this year.
We have so much love for our Rumpus Community and all of the artists who have been a part of this journey with us. Although this may be the end of our Bowden home, it is certainly not the last of Rumpus. So stay tuned for what’s next to come! ❤️
We had the wonderful privilege of having Symphonie de la Bicyelette as a baby play at Rumpus a couple years ago! We’re so proud of Hew and the show and can’t wait to see it 😍
Symphonie de la Bicyelette, starring Adelaide’s Hew Parham is a cracker! A one man show about Hew, a passionate wannabe cyclist, stuck in a cycle of dead-end jobs and missed opportunities who has long harboured a pathological envy of his more successful high school friend, now professional cyclist, Jake.

The independent theatre scene has long struggled with atomisation; isolated artists and companies facing the same struggles of limited resources, limited support and the lack of a thriving second tier in our industry.
On the 8th of July 2018, a community of local artists met to find a new way forward and the idea for RUMPUS was born: an exciting curated season of work in a new venue where artists can pool resources, collectively build audiences and grow a better ecology for creating bold, diverse and innovative work.
Exactly one year and one day later, on the 9th of July 2019, the RUMPUS facilitators who organised the first community meeting picked up the keys for the very first RUMPUS home - 100 Sixth St Bowden.
We are excited to present our inaugural 2019 season of fresh local theatre, designed to challenge, engage, stimulate and entertain Adelaide audiences.
