Underwood Party Hire – New Position to join our growing team!

We are looking for a Casual Admin & Event Assistant to join our team.
Underwood Party Hire is a leading supplier of party and event equipment in North Queensland. We are looking for a highly motivated and organized person with the ability to work within this fast paced environment independently and as part of a team. This role involves working Monday to Friday with some Saturday morning work. The applicant must be efficient in an office environment with good computer skills and have excellent communication skills. Picking orders and general cleaning duties are required also.

We are looking for someone who:
- Has a great work ethic
- Is organized and efficient
- Is positive and enthusiastic
- Has an eye for detail

Some duties/ responsibilities:
- Reception first point of contact
- Respond to enquires via phone and email
- Quoting and invoicing
- Follow up on quotes and sales
- Taking payments
- Showroom organization
- Prepare and pick orders ready for hire
- Return and clean items

Details:
Casual
During the busy season (April/ May – October) you will be required 5 days a week 9am – 2:30pm approximately.
Off season quiet season (October – April/ May) you will be required 3 days a week 9am – 2:30pm approximately.
Must be able to cover Permanent staff holidays between (October – April) which will be 5 days a week 9am – 2:30pm approximately, for around 1 week at a time.

No experience needed, we will teach you everything you need to know.

Position Available!!!

Underwood Party Hire & Event Specialist s is seeking a back of house person to join our growing team.

As a back of house Operator, you will pick and pack orders, prepare outgoing equipment for hire and complete general cleaning of hire equipment. Most items will consist of linen, cutlery, crockery and glassware.

Your typical day may be picking equipment, packing orders and cleaning orders. You will need to be physically fit and have great attention to detail.

This is a casual role based in Cairns. Our peak season is May - October with occasional weekend work as required during this time. Standard work hours are 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday (flexible for the right person) with overtime available during this season. (School hours are also available)

Requirements & Qualifications
Strong attention to detail & time management
Ability to adapt to changing conditions effectively
C Class Driving Licence - not essential but a advantage
