Just married! Brendan (from Ireland) and Bianca (from Brazil) just married in the green room overlooking the Heart Garden. What a pleasure for me to be celebrant for my new neighbours, who simply needed to walk down the path to the place where they got married, with two good friends as witnesses and me as their celebrant and some really nice champagne. 💕🍾🍂

Just had a small happy private wedding in the Heart Garden. We had the ceremony in the green room and photos outside. The witnesses were a happy young couple who married here in the garden a while ago. This winter day is cold but peaceful and still. ❤️❤️

My green room. Perfect location for a small winter wedding, starting anytime from about 2pm until about 3.30. The marrying couple stand in front of the bay window and there's plenty of room for up to 12 adult guests + children. If the weather's sunny - not just cold - we can go out into the garden for some photos with winter flowers like camellias, daphne, jonquills and helebores, and some dramatic tree shapes.

If you'd like to book a winter Heart Garden wedding, remember that you'd need to lodge your Notice of Intended Marriage with me at least one month before your wedding day.

BTW After twenty years of hosting Heart Garden weddings - and always free of charge - I think that 2024 will likely be the final year.

Beautiful photo from Heart Garden wedding this time last year. Chinedu makes his vow of marriage to Chiamaka. Such a privilege for me and their special people, to share these precious moments.

There's a wedding in the garden next Thursday. Lots of the colourful flowers like marigolds and impatiens could be knocked back and blackened by a frost. Here's hoping this won't happen!

Just married! Humayun and Adrienne married in the Heart Garden early this afternoon, in a simple moving ceremony that felt so blessed by Allah. No birdsong in the heat of the day, but the buzz of many busy bees, gathering pollen from the early autumn asters.

Just married! Rob and Kylie just married in the Heart Garden this beautiful summer afternoon in a very simple, very happy and moving ceremony. Three small intimate weddings in the Heart Garden in the last two days, all special and wonderful, with brides and grooms from Australia, Fiji and Iraq. Our beautiful garden, especially prepared for the weddings, is now looking fantastic for our family for Christmas. 🥰

I love elopements! And I can help you find wonderful witnesses. And I also love very small, very private, intimate Heart Garden weddings, just like this one.

I've been updating my blog posts and pages on my website www.celebrantcanberra.com.au and also adding some of the excellent images I've been storing for many years. Found this one and I think it's just lovely! (And I have permission to post because no faces or names are showing.) It was a romantic intimate wedding, this time last year. Sweet peas from the Heart Garden became their 'forever flower' as together, they closed their eyes to register in their memory, the perfume of the sweet peas with their most special day. Magical!

Jaz and Josh married in the Heart Garden last Saturday (August 12). The daphne was in full bloom. They've registered together, the perfume of the daphne, and now it will always be their wedding flower. Every anniversary, the sweet perfume of the daphne will always take them back to their most special day.

I had the great pleasure last Saturday of being celebrant at a large, truly joyful wedding in Gundaroo. It was a private occasion so you won’t see any images online. Apart from an interference problem with my sound system, everything went very smoothly and we all had a great time.

This post is about their photographer Milton. I’ve been a celebrant now at nearly 1500 weddings and Milton Gan from Milton Gan Weddings did look familiar to me. Milton and I have worked together in the past, quite a while ago. It was good to see him again.

I’ve just found Milton’s website and I’m not surprised to find that he’s ‘award-winning’. Highly recommended. Thoughtful and very professional.

As well as recommending Milton, there’s a new photographer I’d like to encourage. Robin Winters Photography. Robin came to a wedding in my Heart Garden recently and the service he gave the marrying couple was also thoughtful, thorough and non-intrusive, just like master photographer, Milton Gan.

I found this post from August 2020 when I wanted to show a couple who will marry in The Heart Garden in late July this year, how the green room looks. We may have the ceremony in the green room, overlooking the wintry garden so that everyone will be completely warm and comfortable. Hopefully, we'll get some photos in the garden. Below the photos in this post, there are notes about the green room. It works perfectly as a warm intimate winter wedding venue, or at any other time of the year if the weather isn't human-friendly. Lots of lovely winter sunlight can stream in.
