Although rain is not favoured for many events… it can create some magical things in nature!

A Birds Eye view of where the earlier floods of the Diamantina River expanded through Birdsville as part of the channel country - it wasn’t quite far enough to provide a grass track at the races, although campers did get to enjoy the lush grass and wildflowers amongst their campsites (before it rained).

What a magical time we had with the Tourism & Events Queensland x Birdsville Races crew ✨

Wondering if we are a jinx with the weather though…wet track and postponed races rather similar to what we experienced in Birdsville in September. But a great day regardless.

This backdrop definitely providing plenty of inspo for our next race meet in September. Giddy up 🐎🌼✨

Congratulations to our friends on winning the NSW Heritage Pitch Fest for 2022 🍾🥂✨

A huge achievement with a $1m grant prize and one that is well and truly deserved with the hard yakka Clare and Dave do towards agritourism, not only at Windy Station, but the Liverpool Plains and rural Australia in general.

Super stoked for them and one worth celebrating! 👏🏻

We can’t wait to be back at Windy post restoration for many more amazing events in the future 🌾

Love this collaboration we did with the Birdsville Races x Red Ridge The Label.

Red Ridge the Label was born from the red sandhills of central western Queensland and shines a spotlight on central western Queensland Aboriginal artists by expressing their work in beautiful fashion.

Included in the collaboration was a traditional opening of the fashions on the field, Red Ridge the Label catwalk and these colourful saddle cloths featuring one of their detailed designs.
