Happy Belated 12th Birthday Hamish! So loved making another celebration cake for you. This colourful "wall" was a five layer chocolate velvet cake filled with hazelnut syrup, nutella and nutella buttercream, covered in chocolate fondant bricks and edible icing photos.

I had the huge honour of making this birthday cake for a very special lady. Her kindness and dedication as a nurse is unmatched and when I came to work at Cancer Care, she helped me learn the role enormously. No one deserves a better celebration. This was 3 layers of chocolate cake, salted caramel and cream cheese filling finished with blue and purple butterflies

What a lovely morning teaching the beautiful .naturally.with.vera how to make gnocchi. We made three types: pumpkin, ricotta and a traditional potato gnocchi, all in 90 minutes. Of course, we had to do some quality control to be sure, so we also made a butter sage sauce for the pumpkin gnocchi and traditional tomato and meatball with the ricotta gnocchi for lunch. I am so impressed with how quickly my student picked up the technique and I think my mum made a new friend today. Enjoy the take home gnocchi with your family Vera!

As many of you know, I have spent the past 34 years working for medical and legal specialists. After leaving my last job to look after mum post-surgery, I decided to take time off this year to explore my options and work out where to next. I have cared for my parents for many years as well as offered respite in the past for dear friends. This lead to me exploring and considering doing this as a profession as I have incredible patience, kindness, empathy and organisational skills all qualities needed to ensure my clients receive stellar attention and exceptional service.
