এশিয়ার ৪৮ টি দেশের মধ্যে ২৭ টি দেশের ট্রেইল ম্যারাথন ইভেন্ট ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ট্রেইল রানিং এসোসিয়েশনের ম্যারাথন ক্যালেন্ডারে ইতোমধ্যে স্থান পেয়েছে। আজ ২৮ তম দেশ হিসেবে প্রথম বারের মতো বাংলাদেশের কোন ট্রেইল ম্যারাথন ইভেন্ট আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যায়ে আন্তর্জাতিক ম্যারাথন ক্যালেন্ডারে স্থান পেলো।

We have decided to collect trail running races data across the country and according to the ITRA (International Trail Running Association) guideline and considering km effort of runner in a particular race we have decided to give points to the races. So far only 3 trail running races have been organized in the history of Bangladesh. Among these 2 races have been qualified for the BTRA points. Below is the table showing general information about races along with BTRA points.

BTRA(Bangladesh Trail Running Association) aims to promote trail running in order to improve its quality, its diversity, the health and safety of runners in relation to the trail races that need to be further developed and ensure a constructive evaluation of races among the different national trail marathon bodies with an interest in the sport particularly in trail running.
