Please share, Rob had such a large group of friends it is hard to get in contact with everyone... it won't get in the paper until Friday.

Robert Douglas Thompson passed away suddenly at Belleville General Hospital on the morning of January 1, 2024.

Rob was beloved by his parents; Doug and Jean, his siblings; Paul, Bev (Wayne Wall) and Lee, and his children; Emma, Jacob (Kaitlin Appleman) and Hannah (Harrison Clarke). He will also be remembered fondly by many aunts, uncles and cousins in the Thompson, Reid and Jeffs families.

Rob will be greatly missed by Jaine Thompson and Erin Baxter, who cared deeply for him during his unexpectedly short life.

A celebration of Rob's life will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 6-9 pm at the Belleville Club (210 Pinnacle St, Belleville, ON K8N 3A6). All who knew Rob are invited to come share in the memories, the music and the love he will be remembered by--wear your dancing shoes!

My tents complete with knowledge, planning, 24 hour service, walls, staking in all conditions (drilling in to limestone), Engineered drawings and FR Certificate to acquire a Building Permit.

Many companies will tell you that you do not need a Building Permit on private property. They are either ignorant of the laws or lying. Ask if their tents pass the Ontario Building Code.

A successful party is a safe party.

I also have a collection of candle lanterns to sell left over from custom orders. 33cm tall, four colours. 12 for $200.

I still have some linen left after saving some for a few weddings last year the booked years in advance. 70 Ivory Jacquard Chair covers for folding chairs, 20 - 90" round table linen in Ivory, 10 - 54'x120" in ivory, 20 - 120" round white. Plus dozens of stained if you are creative!

Just completed inventory on over 14,500 pieces of linen today including table linens (sold most of then already), overlays, napkins, chair covers, and chair bows.

I once owned enough Royal Dolton dinner wear to serve over 1,000 people. (The soup bowls are $250 per doz new!) Plus glass wear, cutlery, table settings, centre pieces, catering supplies... table linens, napkins, chairs covers for thousands... plus decor to fill arenas... florist supplies... watch for the auction, second weekend in April.

I am keeping all my tents, (I can still cover about 10,000 people at once) tables and chairs for about 3,000 people, dance floors, staging, tent lighting and drapes... and enough extension cords and string lights to light up a small city.

At one time, back in the day when they were allowed in halls, I was one of the largest suppliers of wholesale candles to churches and halls. That meant that the brides with the 200 person wedding saved huge on candles when they rented a tent.
