I am so very honoured and humbled to receive this 2024 Campbell River Mirror Reader’s Choice Award! I have been so very blessed to be Shoo Shoo the clown for almost 42 years here in my beloved hometown! I have the best job in the world and I feel so fortunate to be a part of so much fun and love!❤️🤡
🌟❤️. I also have to give shout outs to those in our category! The Campbell River Museum Puppets have a special place in my heart, as does the The Great Tobini!! My vote went to the Great Tobini because he is simply amazing and I love to work along side of him at fun events!! 🎉🌟🎈How fortunate are we to entertain amazing children and their grownups!!❤️❤️

🎅Santa's Workshop was a great success!🎄Families were treated to a wonderful shopping experience and got a chance to have a tour of our facility and chat with staff and volunteers.

We could not have put this event on without the support of our local grocery stores, C&L Supply Ltd. who donated a generator for our outdoor heated waiting area, and our generous community who brought food, gifts, toys, and baked goods.

A huge THANK YOU to our dedicated volunteer Diane who dreamed up this magical event and worked tirelessly to sort and categorize every single item. Administration and staff volunteered countless hours to transform our warehouse into a winter wonderland...and then back again!

To our wonderful volunteers here at the Food Bank and their family
members, community organizations who came to give a helping hand, Campbell River Daybreak Rotary, the Timberline Rotary Interact Students, Immigrant Welcome Centre of North Vancouver Island, Rachel Blaney North Island - Powell River MP, and the Beacon Club - thank you!

To our story book readers and our talented entertainers, Max Klein and friends, who played and sang all evening long, and last but certainly not least, Imagination Unlimited/Shoo Shoo the clown who brought a smile to every child (and many adults) with face painting and balloon animals!

We couldn't have put on this terrific event without the kind help of all of you and many more. From the Food Bank Family to yours, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you 🙏

You are invited to the first annual Campbell River Food Bank Santa's Workshop featuring an Open House and Christmas Kid's Market!

On Tuesday November 28th our doors will be wide open to our neighbours and friends to welcome you into our facility for an evening of entertainment, treats, and shopping. Each child will get Food Bank Bucks to shop at our Christmas Market full of clothing, specialty food, health and beauty products, pet supplies, home decor and more!

Our elves will be on hand to assist the shoppers with their purchases, and to wrap them up ready to go under the tree!

For the adults, we will have an ongoing tour of our facilities so that all of our neighbours can see our operation first hand. Our kitchen will be set up with hot drinks and snacks to welcome you to our Food Bank Family home.

We're going to have entertainment too, with Imagination Unlimited/Shoo Shoo the clown, live music, and juggling!
