The decision to keep presenting live music in the city square into the warm evenings of August came about a few years ago in conjunction with the Old Firehouse Wine Bar’s involvement with their outdoor extended patio and yes, the crowds that have attended will attest to this being a very good concept

8:15pm Nautical Disaster -they do their damndest to sound just like the original material-they jam regularly to stay tight on the songs and gel as a group, so when their lead singer gets going on a lengthy improvised rant on the outro to "Looking for a place to happen" the band can just keep things rolling seamlessly -the frontman has some big shoes to fill, but the Gord above is smiling because Ryan does a good job

6pm Dance Temple Cowichan -Ali and Chris have put together an awesome electronic music thang playing tasteful African inspired music with lots of love and live samples with chris’s grooved percussion ... extremely danceable
7pm Pinebox Rebellion - these seasoned local players have their own genre, kinda rockish indie pop that works real well and creates a fun energy - they have been recording new tunes as of late and are ready to present them

3pm Homespun Band -a folk fusion band from Vancouver Island, the creation of singer/songwriter Duncan Sutherland, they blend different musical genres that echo folk, blues, bluegrass, swing and country
4pm High Definition Chicks -trio of ex-Curl band members Helen Davies (lead vocals and guitar), Dee Cooper (keys and vocals) and Christa Brenan (percussion and vocals). Blues, R&B and a bit of country with a few cool originals thrown in.
5pm Neavv - singer/songwriter/producer new to the valley - classically trained, pop took over and the results are awesome- there is an edge to her music that cuts to the bone - and that voice!!!
6pm Belly Dancing Extravaganza -Georgia Foster has once again invited some of the many island belly dancers to gather for a most colourful display of belly dancing fun and camaraderie

5pm Andy Cooke -a songwriters songwriter, this valley resident is most pleasant to listen to
6pm Rumblejam Grooves - 7 young jazz musicians from the Comox Valley lookin’ to be heard and what better audience than our attentive festival goers

3pm Teacher / Student Showcase -Judy Hogg Celtic Rhythm Dancers such wonderful young dancers with such intent
4pm James Hamilton -he sounds of a sitar in the late afternoon outdoors and sometimes with a guest singer and possibly a belly dancer
5pm Christopher Jackson -from Kingston, Ont. his first venture to the west coast and not his last- a superb singer/songwriter in a folk fashion
6pm Lance Lapointe -known all over as the consummate sideman it appears he is a songwriter as well having just recorded his first originals CD, he comes to the 39 Days of July ready to let it all out
7pm Grinning Barretts- they have taken Celtic sounds and mashed them up with gritty punk rock passion to create a wild ride of traditional that will move your feet into jig formation and bring out your rabblerouser

6pm Neavv -singer/songwriter/producer new to the valley - classically trained, pop took over and the results are awesome- there is an edge to her music that cuts to the bone - and that voice!!!
7pm Reuben Shepherd and the Too Far Gone - young singer/songwriter so impressed us 2 years ago at our open mic that we have given him 2 slots this year-also he is scheduled for SunFest 2024
