Haaaaaaaave you met Allison?!

My girl Allison and I have been besties since we were 5 and running around in the gym picking leotard wedgies out of our butts. And like the badass unwaveringly supportive friend that she is she was right behind me when I started The Paisley Rose!

In the last 8 years she has helped me through countless weddings and events maintaining an eye for detail, an appreciation for design, and an appetite for efficiency that matches my own (shes my A-Type Twin!!! 👯‍♀️). So it was only natural that when the time came for me to recruit some extra hands for client communication this season that my girl jumped right in.

Flower friends and 2024 couples, please welcome Allison to the technical team and don’t be surprised if she makes you fall in love with her 🥰

Happy International Women’s Day!! 🌼🌼🌼

Are you familiar with the significance of the Mimosa flower in relation to this day? Apparently it was chosen by a group of 🇮🇹 Italian feminists in 1946 to symbolize “strength, sensibility and sensitivity” (I might add sacrifice to this alliteration) and when gifted it’s known as a token of solidarity.

A deeper dive into the botanical significance of this fragrant bombshell bloom tells us that although she may seem like a vulnerable variety, in fact she grows prolifically even in the harshest conditions. 💪 —No surprise there 😜

Nothing but happy vibes bubble up when I reminisce on Erica and Andrew’s summer wedding in Dundas. These two sweethearts, and their most compassionate families, were a literal dream to work with. I was so grateful to be surrounded by kindness like theirs especially during a hectic season of life.

Oh hey there flower friends! Long time no post! Sorry about that — wedding season has been WILD but I’m so grateful to be so busy. It means I get to play with flowers every week and share my love of blooms with some truly inspiring couples at stunning venues throughout the GTHA.

It might be time for a quick reintroduction. If we haven’t met yet….

👋🏻 Hi! I’m Jennifer. I’m the owner, designer, flower grower, bookkeeper, social media manager, studio manager, team lead, dreamer and general boss mom behind The Paisley Rose. In 2016 I started a small hobby biz in my parents basement and named it after my 6 month old daughter. Fast forward to today, I’m an accredited floral designer, full-time femme-preneur and proud Momma to my two perfect buds, Paisley and Linden.

It has been a wild ride getting here (no s**t, one day I’ll tell you about it) but I’m grateful for the love and support I’ve received from family, friends and fellow small business owning allies along the way.

Our Story

Hello! I'm Jennifer...

...and I am the mom-preneur behind The Paisley Rose! I love my little ones, traveling, good food, thunderstorms, gardening and -of course- flowers! Some of my earliest memories are of spending hours in the garden with my mum, planting, caring and harvesting the annuals, perennials and edibles, so it was only natural that floral design became a big part of my life, my creative outlet, and my way of communicating my passion with others.

The Paisley Rose operates out of my home-based studio in Mississauga, Ontario. Although The Paisley Rose is a part-time passion business, I work closely with my clients to thoughtfully determine their floral needs and vision for every order. So no matter the occasion -be it a wedding, birthday, anniversary, funeral, or just because - I am always eager to make your occasion its most beautiful with the highest quality flowers, latest designs and reliable service.
