🍓strawberry begonia for strawberry season??🍓

This plant is absolutely adorable with tiny fuzzies on the leaf surface, sweet pink petioles, and runner production much like an actual strawberry plant!!

It likes consistent moisture and a soil that won't stay soggy - our Gaze's Ultimate Houseplant Potting Soil is perfect!

the standard peace lily is a classic for a reason with its lush foliage and instant jungle feel - so the variegated "Domino" variety of peace lily is a perfect addition to any collection🤍 the variegation shows up differently on every leaf with some appearing more mottled/flecked and some showing distinct sectoral swatches of bright white!

DISCLAIMER: peace lilies and other lilies including the ever popular easter lilies are toxic to cats due to the presence of calcium oxalate crystals in the leaves, flowers, and pollen - so keep this in mind if you share your home with a kitty pal🤍

These Fernwood Snake Plants are some of the coolest plants to style around the shop and in your homes🤍 They are hardy, require infrequent watering, and can tolerate lower light well compared to other types of plants. Each one is unique in its spray of leaves but the characteristic striping makes for an instant classic houseplant that will elevate any space🌱✨

💚PLANT OF THE DAY - Venus Fly Trap💚

Fungus gnats got you down this summer? We've got the solution! A beautiful shipment of these babies just arrived this weekend, so if you're looking for a bit of tropical to brighten this RDF weather week - look no further 🌞

Fun fact: Venus Fly Traps get every nutrient they need from the flies they eat, so they need a growing medium devoid of all nutrients to prevent burning their roots!

🌱✨ PLANT OF THE DAY - Syngonium Silver Fox✨🌱

We all need a dose of something bright green on an RDF (rain, drizzle, & fog) day like today and what better than the frosty silver green foliage of the Silver Fox Syngonium!

This compact arrowhead adds a bright splash of colour to the sea of darker green typically seen in houseplants, and with easy care requirements it makes for the perfect addition from beginners to more "advanced" planty people!

💚Fun Fact: also known by the common names "arrowhead" and "goosefoot", in it's native environment this plant is often found as a crawling ground cover!

Any coffee lovers out there?☕✨

The lush dark green glossy foliage makes this plant a stunner even if it's not producing coffee cherries yet! The plants we get in the typically juvenile, but given 3-5 years they'll reach maturity and start producing actual coffee beans☕✨

Each crimson red "coffee cherry" will contain two coffee beans that you can save and cure to brew your own coffee once you collect enough! Bright indirect light and consistent moisture will keep your plant happy and healthy🌱

🌱✨PLANT OF THE DAY - Carissa Natal Plum✨🌱

Native to tropical and southern Africa, this member of the dogbane family is a fun addition to any plant collection! The fruit produced by the Carissa is slightly tart with some overtones of strawberry and apple🍓🍎

💚Fun fact: the fruit of the Carissa Natal Plum is often called 'Num Nums' and is a delicacy for folks in its native region, often being used to make jellies and candy/sweets💚

Any orchid lovers out there?💜🌸 We still can't believe how gorgeous the blooms on these Vanda Orchids are!!

The tropical orchids not only boast striking purple flowers but they also have some pretty stunning foliage! The structural, geometric growth pattern will keep you just as intrigued between blooming cycles.

Fun fact: these orchids grow attached to the side of a tree in their natural environment, so simulating those conditions is best practice for care! A quick and frequent wet/dry cycle (if your roots are bare and air exposed like these guys are) and as much sun as you can give it will keep them at their happiest💜🌸💜

🌱✨PLANT OF THE DAY - Hemigraphis alternata aka Purple Waffle Plant✨🌱

This fun plant sports foliage that settles to a deep purple colour as it matures, along with the texture that gives it the common name reminiscent of the iconic breakfast treat🧇

When the Purple Waffle is happy, healthy, and mature, it can even bloom with delicate white flowers!

🌱Fun Fact: this plant is non-toxic to both pets and people!!

🌱✨PLANT OF THE DAY - Monstera standleyana✨🌱

This gorgeous aroid is a great addition to any collection! A relative of the iconic Monstera deliciosa, the standleyana sports rich dark green foliage speckled with bright pops of albo variegation. It can be grown trailing but it typically MUCH prefers to climb if given access to a pole or trellis✨

💚Fun Fact: this plant is also commonly known as Philodendron cobra🐍🐍🐍 despite not actually being of the genus Philodendron!
