Sat, March 23 – Evian Christ unveils his latest creation Revanchist: LIVE. Christ’s debut LP on Warp explores the genre’s latent potential to evoke, beyond Euphoria, the fullest feeling of the Sublime.

Strobe Warning: Evian Christ’s performance will be supported by upwards of 15kw of unrelenting xenon strobe lighting and arena-grade smoke machines. As such, this show may not be safe for people with photosensitive epilepsy.

JAN 31, FEB 1 AND 2 — In their performance, they navigate through various states of active and passive relaxation, leveraging the presence of one another to explore deeper levels of comfort and introspection.

[RIGHT] Marga Alfeirão, choreographer and dancer Heavily influenced by dance-genres and sound textures from the african diaspora disseminated through Lisbon’s social tissue, she attempts an active claim of womanhood, making room for le***an sensualities. She has worked with choreographers Tamara Alegre, Antonja Livingstone, architect Afaina de Jong, among others. She is active in the Portuguese Ballroom scene as a founding member of the Casa das Musas.

[MIDDLE] Dancer, choreographer and designer, Mariana Benenge is a free spirit in the Parisian q***r community. The young entrepreneur has co-founded P3, an exclusive FLINTA party that celebrates and encourage BIPOC q***rs le***an to celebrate their sensuality and to nurture spaces without non-male gaze domination. She initiated her education in traditional Congolese dances, in Congo, and later, in Paris, she became a Waacker and an active member on the street dance scene and Ballroom scene.

[LEFT] Myriam Lucas is a dancer, teaching artist and choreographer from San Diego, California. She began her dancing as a freestyle Hip-Hop dancer and has since moved into other urban dance forms and various contemporary movement techniques.

Wed, Jan 24 — How to critically reclaim Berlin’s mythic early 1990s post-reunification Heydays? For one evening, Michael Stock’s 1993 film Prinz in Hölleland (Prince in Hell) beams us into a q***r-punk vision of the post-reunification capital.

In the second part of the evening, Ben Miller, co-host of the podcast Bad G**s, will read an excerpt of his outstanding book on the mischievous homosexuals of history.

This Friday! Tot Onyx is the solo project of Tommi Tokyo, a founding member of the Japanese performance art/live electronics duo group A. They incorporate the use of body in their noise and poetry-performances, continuing the development of an experiential vocabulary.
Frequent collaborations with visual artists, dancers and scenographers of different practices is one of the crucial processes in their experimentation both of sound and performance.

The closing of MAIN BODY by Sally von Rosen takes place on Friday the 13th of October 2023 at Trauma Bar und Kino. The performances and interventions bring the visitors deeper into the sculptural and performative world of the exhibition.

The evening invites you to a multisensory and transdisciplinary experience where different impressions and artistic practices are merged into a collective performance in several acts.

Sally von Rosen's exhibition MAIN BODY is surrounded by a rather symbolic framework of drawings, in the style of Hieronymus Bosch made by an automatic drawing machine. These works depict elusive otherworldly monsters and figures emerging from dreamlike settings.

Both von Rosen’s sculptural and Bosch’s pictorial landscapes possess a mesmerizing blend of awe and dread, conjuring creatures that teeter on the precipice of reality and nightmare, unveiling the innermost corners of the human psyche.

The grotesque beings decategorize the familiar as they are a mutation of the natural and the fantastic. Their bodies evoke a disturbing beauty that lures us into a realm both enchanting and unsettling, weaving a web between creatures that challenge our perception of the real and the unreal. They seem to be symbols of the myriad facets of the human condition, as they mirror our desires, fears, and obsessions, a vivid reflection of the chaos and wonderment inherent within us all.
