And outside here is a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), a children's play area and a recreation field. The excellent facilities make Wye Village Halls an ideal venue for the many clubs and societies that use the ha

lls for their meetings as well as being a great venue for parties, meetings and other events. The halls/rooms are available for regular bookings and one-off events. Each room has its own well equipped kitchen and the halls can be hired as one unit or individually. Off road parking available and all rooms have their own toilet facilities. The large hall has times available in the afternoons - Monday and Thursdays 1pm to 5.30pm and Fridays 1pm to 3.30pm. Christmas Countdown was well attended yesterday, Thursday 30th November. Lots of people, young and ever young came to buy presents and reward themselves afterward with a coffee and cake. 🎄🍰🎄

The work on the inside of the large hall is nearing completion. We thank all users of the hall for their patience while the builders finish the last few bits and pieces. 👨‍🔧

The work on the rear lobby and new terrace for the hall's back garden is moving on...

Wye Arts 'My Wye' Photographic Competition 2017. Steve Bloom presented the prizes on Monday 21st August. Thank you to all that entered as proceeds were donated to the Wye Centre project. Some wonderful photographs of Wye, especially from the younger photographers, it must have been difficult for Steve Bloom to judge.📸😀

Replacement of the village hall roof has started! We are very pleased to say that Darren and his team are hard at work replacing the roof as the first phase of the refurbishment. :)

The Wye Under Fives garden is looking great with the train in place and planting begun. This weekend volunteers are putting up new sheds for the fairy garden. Then the only thing left to do is for the children to enjoy the garden. :)

An intrepid gang of volunteers tackled the triffid weeds on Saturday morning. The outside of the hall looks much better now and the path around the car park can now be walked upon without dodging the triffids. :)

Volunteers needed to tackle giant weeds! This Saturday, 3rd June, from 9am, The Village Hall Committee are clearing the giant triffid-like weeds that have infested the car park and surrounds of the hall. If you can spare an hour of your time please join us, triffid wrangling gear in hand. We will give you a warm welcome.

Another Successful Quiz Night on Saturday 13th May. There was a great atmosphere when 15 teams in total, representing many of the village organisations, filled the hall. It was a bit like a Grand Prix with one team getting away early and being eagerly chased all the way to the finish. It was “May contain nuts”, headed up by our Project Manager David Reece, who won the champagne prize. The “Wine Club” were second, just one point ahead of “Wye Beagles”. The raffle was well supported with 14 prizes to be won, all donated by local businesses. This helped swell the profit from the event to just under £1400. Many thanks to all those who attended and of course to those who worked hard to make it happen, especially those in the kitchen who produced chilli can carne for over 120 people! A great night, see you next year.
