Yellow melody maker - excellent condition with gig bag and paperwork ready to be registered... The reason I want to do this is long winded but the short version is, when I was younger I was given the option of either a guitar or xmas I chose wrong and chose xmas...my family couldn't afford much and though I loved music I was young and daft and chose xmas.. it wasn't until the day after the night in Stockton (Au Revoirs gig) that I bought my first guitar and that was because I felt inspired by strangers who showed me kindness when I really was in need. Meeting you guys and carl got me to wake up the next morning and think..i really want to learn so I'm going to do it. I was a dad at 19 and always worked 2 jobs to get by and its only recently I could afford to do this so I did. I guess my reason is simple I want someone to feel as special as I did that night and to be involved in that feeling.

Extended gig at the North Laine pub in Brighton, after the England versus Italy six nations game.I have now photographed Kings Mews on a good number of occasions - gigs and publicity shots. Apart from being a great bunch of guys, I love their sound, which seems to me to be maturing and developing still. This was the first gig I had been to with Davide Costantino on keyboards - an element which definitely fills the sound out. In the absence of Dan from the drumkit, the band's original drummer, Bobby Twoshoe filled in. Apart from the keys, Ollie played electric bass on a few songs, which added a harder edge and more percussive rhythm attack which I felt really lifted these songs, dancability-wise. Kings Mews had a lot of time to fill at this gig, and the big cavernous space of North Laine really suited them - they let rip, filling the place for three sets, with extended versions of songs etc. It was a fun gig - this band deserves to be heard.
