π¨ What have the pupils at Victoria Park Primary School been up to?
Come and find out! Victoria Park Primary will be open today (Saturday 7th October) 11am-3pm to showcase some of the children's amazing artwork.
πΌ The art will be displayed in the main school hall, where you'll also be able to buy refreshments from the PTFA.

π¨ Meet the Artist: !
Oliver has additional needs and is on the Autistic Spectrum. He started to paint a few years ago when he had Art Therapy. It was his Art Therapist who recognised what an incredible artist he is.
π Oliver paints independently with watercolours and occasionally acrylics, with some support with preparation and changing colour.
He's very proud of his work but is not attached to his pieces, and leaves his parents or Art Therapist to find a title for them!
π You can find Oliver on the Trail at St Michael's Church between 11am and 5pm on 7th and 8th October.
π This week's the week!
We're so excited for the Art on the Hill: The Windmill Hill and Victoria Park Arts Trail to return this Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th October between 11am and 5pm.
π¨ Showcasing over 70 artists across 30 venues, you don't want to miss out on this opportunity to meet local creatives and makers.
Along the Trail, you can also try refreshments from local vendors, take part in Artist Workshops, get involved with our Raffle, and watch local performers.

π¨ Meet the Artist: Holly Foskett-Barnes Art!
π Holly is a local Bristol artist who creates colourful, educational illustrations that invite you to connect with nature and seasonal living.
πΏ Inspired by the natural world, plants, crops and herbal remedies, her practice is rooted in earth-friendly sustainability.
π Find Holly at the Windmill Hill Community Centre, where you can buy greeting cards, eco-stickers and limited-edition art prints all made from original watercolour paintings.

π¨ Meet the Artist: Havard!
Bob crafts affordable, functional and decorative ceramic pieces using earthenware and stoneware clays.
Although Bob has been working with clay since 1976, the last few years have seen him decorating ceramics with coloured clay slips and both transparent, and coloured glazes.
πΊ Why clay? Bob says "I tried painting, sculpture and wood carving but found the feel and flexibility of clay suited me best."
β Why Art on The Hill? "This is my third trail with AOTH. I like its distinctly local feel. I will be at the Victoria Park Bowling Club which is at the edge of the park very near the top of the wonderfully named Nutgrove Avenue."

We sold hundreds of raffle tickets, making a great start to our fundraising. As a community-run organisation, we rely on this funding to ensure the trail will continue to run each year - so, thank you!
We also had a few of our artists, Ruth Whiter, Joff Winterhart, and Grace Cupper Creative, doing live drawings for people (and a few dogs) who bought 5 raffle tickets. See some of their creations below π

π¨ Our popular Art Trail in South Bristol returns on 7th and 8th October to the Windmill Hill and Victoria Park area in Bristol.
π Whilst you wait, don't forget that we'll be at the Victoria Park Action Group (VPAG) Fair on Saturday 16th September from 12-6pm. You can enjoy some family fun, music, food, drinks, and buy raffle tickets for the AOTH raffle taking place over the Trail weekend.

π Taking place between the 7th and 8th October, this is a great opportunity to show off your creations, meet other artists, and sell your work.
π The Art Trail will exhibit works within community spaces and people's homes, and we even have some spaces to host artists from outside the area too.
π Artist registration is open between 1st - 30th June, with an entry cost of Β£35.
